"Lost in me, Found in You"



I am struggling forward
with every step
I get closer to my prize
and then I slip
falling back to where I had begun
I know that You are the one
the one to save me 
save me from me
but harder I try
all on my own 
and more I fall
fall down alone
alone I climb up 
and fall down again
and I just wish
I could find a friend
a friend who loves me
and will climb with me
so I look to You
and You at me
and by my side You will be
I try to climb 
with You by my side
I let go
and let You be my guide
soon enough, I reach the top
but the next thing I know,
You warn me of a drop
I hardly even notice
that I made it back down
There I am again
standing on the ground
I get disappointed
'cause I feel I let You down
but then from beside me
You say, "No,
you never let me down,
I only picked you up
off of the ground,
and took you to the top
of a high point in life
but You have to understand
there is always pain and strife
bound to come around
that is why I took you down
to show you that while I am with you
nothing can really get you down,
just trust in Me with all of your heart
and just remember that I am always near,
on the mountain top,
or in the valley,
I am always here
right by your side."
And with that hope inside me
I joyfully went along,
straight through that valley
just singing joyful songs,
praising my Lord.
Lord, I say thanks
to You that I am
lost in me, and found in You.
