"Scared"

I walk away,
Going into a place I have never seen,
Fear grips my soul,
The wind howls,
The leaves blow,
The owls hoot,
The coyotes howl.
I start to shiver at the coolness of the night,
Darkness surrounds me,
I am filled with fright.
Then, off in the distance,
I hear movement and see a light,
The light is like a candle's,
It approaches my direction,
The closer it gets the more scared I become,
I wish I had never gone away.
But then I hear a voice,
It sounds like that of my fathers,
And I see his face,
I run into his arm and feel his embrace,
Now, I am no longer scared.
