"The Only One"

Flying through the air,

I thought I saw something there,
But to my dismay,
It was only play.
I was sure there would come a day,
That I could say, "I got my way."
But without a doubt, I lost
All that I thought wouldn’t cost,
Me a thing, one tiny string to break,
A whole line of events,
Now it’s time to rake,
The broken pieces away,
So I won’t go astray,
From the one I love,
From up above,
That first loved me,
And I came to see,
After a long time of,
Living in search of "True Love,"
The only one who cared,
Gave His Son,
To die on a cross,
God is the only one I have,
To show me the way,
The only one to say,
"I love you"
And to give us His only Son to die,
Made me cry,
"I’ll do whatever you want me to."
