"nights to days"



darkness surrounds me
and i stand afraid
in front of my father 
i am now ashamed
of my sin
why did i not hear your voice?
why did i not see your light?
but wait, i still have the chance
to make everything right
since i am still living
and have not passed away
O, Father do forgive me
for I have gone astray
I'm sorry that I lied
that I cheated and I stole
the glory away from you
and told you "NO!" so bold
please wash my hands
and help me shine your light
and not be blinded by this darkness
created by the night
save me my dear Father 
from my own ways
keep me by your side
'til the nights
turn into days.
Amen
