UNCHARTED WATERS

This is the part where

I open up my heart.

This is the song I should sing

If I felt more control

over what is happening.

These are the words that

I can never whisper, in the

quiet time before sleep.

I want to be truthful,

I want you to know,

But I'm afraid of what will

come in the aftershock of

such a small quake.

If I felt more worth, I'd

be willing to see what

we are capable of.

This is an honest prose,

undeserving of more manic praise.

I wish for words but none will come

I know I am on a secluded road.

If I stopped for food would you feed me?

If I stopped for the way would you show me?

So many unanswered questions, destiny has

disappeared and suddenly I am asking fate to

lend a hand. And should this be

like all the rest, what then?

A slow song as I drift awake,

a muse too far gone to question now.

If I asked would you answer?

Should there be one?

This is the song that

goes un-written when

the stars are aligned.

Doubts and fears have

their run of the stage,

with an interval in a

smart clear glass.

I listen to her that has

always been there, but

I'm scared of this new

dimension.

If you were me

Would I listen?
