I'm Elegy. First thing : I'm French... Yes, I know, nobody's
perfect... I'm 27 and I still watch Buffy The Vampire Slayer with as much
assiduity as my pupils... Yes, and this is the second thing, and a common
point with Giles, I'm a school librarian. But, to my regret, I don't spend
all my time in the demonology books, and, fortunately for my sex-appeal, I
don't wear tight-ass tweed suits... I'd like to wear leather pants with Doc
Martens and a few piercings, but unfortunately, this is not really the high
school policy and I don't want to scare the poor children who already think
I'm completely crazy... So I just wear jeans and my DM's (What?! You thought
I wear a uniform or a woman suit? Are you mad?). Obviously I listen to them
discreetly when they talk about the series and I take my who-do-you-think-I-am-you-little-ignorant-brats-with-your-puerile-and-stupid-tv-series
despising teacher mask, pretending not to know it when they ask me : "Miss,
you know Buffy The Vampire Slayer?", "Huh... Buffy what?..." And with a wicked
grin on my lips, I go back to my computer and to the amazing Buffy/Faith fanfic
I was reading before being interrupted... Huh...
Actually I was meant to be an English teacher (for French pupils of course)
and I studied English/American language and civilization in university, but
when I should have had the English teacher examination, I heard the books
calling me "Come, come to us, don't waste your time to teach sentences such
as 'Riley is a moron' or 'Die, Beefstick, die' (though it could have been
useful in a way...), and I finally took the librarian examination (the school
librarian being also a teacher in France).
I'm perfectly aware that you don't give a damn about my degrees, but my studies
led me to plunge into English and American literature, and, while I officially
tortured my brain to study and translate Shakespeare, I unofficially took
delight in reading English and American slash stories, and in particular,
SM slash stories (my favorite author is the great SM goddess Pat Califia).
I was really bored with vanilla lesbian stories and I needed some tough and
sexy girls to turn me on. In the same way, TV and movie representations were
so dull and conventional (You know, like... huh.... say... Riley! That's right!
How did you know?...) until the terrific "Bound" by the Wachowski brothers
changed my way of defining the perfect butch...
I was always in search of such representations and I discovered one day a
petite blonde who kicked vampires' asses in a delicious and efficient way
and, being a karateka myself, I just admired the techniques with a stupid
grin on my face... At last, a strong woman in a series which combines action,
fantasy, humor, drama, and subtext perfectly. And since then, I have been
sticking to my tv screen, hiding my shameful secret from my friends... Buffy
was good but... I thought the costume designer should really be fired... Eurkk!!!
Pastel colors are definitely atrocious, and especially with the things they
call "clothes" and that Buffy wears... She was a bit too... clean. And two
years ago appeared the perfect woman to me : dark hair, dark eyes, wearing
leather (gulp!) like nobody, with a mouth and a voice to drive you crazy,
tatooed, savage, and tortured... And above all a tough girl who matched Buffy
in every domain, and overpowered her in some (like the choice of clothes...just
an example...). And their sexy fights, the heavy lesbian subtext surrounding
their acts and words, the powerful attraction of Faith, soon overwhelmed my
already tortured and disturbed mind which began to work, to imagine, to fantasize,
about the two magnificent Slayers...
Looking for Willow/Tara sites on the web, I found in one of them a strange
section called "Fan fiction" : I clicked and after a moment of incomprehension
(I'm still French, you know, and no, it doesn't mean our brain is hereditarily
damaged, it's just that I didn't even imagine what the concept of fan fiction
could be because in France there is almost no fanfiction sites...), I quickly
devoured a lot of fics until I discovered links to other pairings : when I
saw Buffy/Faith, I felt like a revelation, it was suddenly so obvious, this
is THE pairing! So I threw myself in B/F sites and finally read (Yes, one
more fan... Maybe Pat Kelly should make us pay 1 dollar each time we ask him
the favor to worship his shoes, I think he could be rich by now...) - the
famous and fabulous Pat Kelly's "Who Am I?"... Afterwards, nothing could be
the same again. My other favorite fics for the moment are "Burning the bridges
series" by Faithtastic, "Redemption" by Erin, "Nothing left to lose" by Lowdeen,
"Bubble Gum Girl" by Kat... (and so many others...).
My fic... I've always written : dark poems, short-stories (mainly s/m), essays,
but I just wrote only one fanfic ("Alike") and apparently I'm much more prolific
to write this strange bio than to begin a sequel... As I said previously,
I fantasized a lot about the two slayers and I never really found in the fanfics
I read what I looked for, that is to say, a plot with a mix of rough sex,
tension, anger, darkness, humor, action, and a bit of psychology... So...
I tried to write it, first in French (which is a better version), then I translated
it in English.
Finally, I'm gonna stop my Willow babbling and hope you'll enjoy my fic (if
you need a cold shower afterwards, it will mean it works and I'll be wicked
happy...).

just tell me...), the Queen of French Wine (as a chooser and a drinker), the
