Gracious Hospitality Supper Club

The way it works:

• All interested family units come to a potluck supper in September
• Each family unit puts their name in a hat
• After eating and fellowship, the Pastor draws the first name from the hat.
• That person then draws three more names and they become a Gracious Hospitality Supper Club
• Then another name is drawn; that person then draws three more names and forms another Gracious Hospitality Supper Club
• This continues until all Supper Clubs are formed.

The Supper Clubs meet for supper once in each family’s home in their Club. The host family usually supplies the main course and the other three family units bring other parts of the meal.

Also, most supper clubs do not include children, except for the children of the host family as this gives adults an opportunity to have an evening “with other adults” for fellowship, discussion and/or games and cards. This way adults can also stay out a little later!

The Gracious Hospitality Supper Clubs meet four times between October and March, each scheduling their own times. In April everyone meets again at the church for a wrap-up potluck supper.

In September, the process begins again! Hopefully people join again and new people hear about the good times and join in also.

It’s a great way to fellowship with Zion people you may not normally have “over to dinner!”

You don’t have to be a gourmet cook or have fancy digs…………….the objective is fellowship (and fun!).
