You Are Listening To "Everything I Do (I do it for you)"

In November of 2002, we started to help out the local Humane Society by safehousing dogs. It helps us keep more in touch with one of the local pounds.

On November 19, 2002, we got our first Humane society foster. Flora is a lab mix that is approximately 12 months old.

On February 5, 2003, we got another Humane society foster. Lila is a Lab/German Shepherd mix that is approximately 2 years old. Lila was placed on December 18, 2004

Ingrid came to us in May of 2003. She was found as a stray by animal control. We guess that she is pure husky, and that if she is a mix then she'd be a mix of husky and white shepherd. As you can tell in the picture she's got 2 brown eyes but the one brown eye is about 1/4 blue. One of the first things we had to do with her is fatten her up due to the fact that she was extremely underweight when she came to us. She was placed in September of 2004.

Jenna came to us on Oct. 4, 2003. She was found as a stray by animal control. The humane society says she's a border collie/ hound mix. We can see the border collie in color and by some of her actions. We can't really see the hound in her though. As far as her herding dog actions, she definitely acts like a herding dog in her efforts to herd the other dogs. She was placed in the spring of 2004.

Carole and her brother Nickolas came to us on Feb. 7, 2004. They are owner turn ins. Their mother is a labrador retriever and we're pretty sure the dad is a cocker spaniel. They are approximately 8 weeks old. Nickolas is pictured below.

Nickolas and his sister came to us on Feb. 7, 2004.

We were up at the local pound rescuing Kane, the samoyed, and we happen to see this little 40 pound girl that had been in the pound for almost 2 months. So we told the humane society that if they tagged her, we'd safehouse her. Well she's here as of September 29, 2004. We've named her Amie and she's only 8 months old. What a wild child!! Amie got placed in a home where she has a playmate on November 20, 2004

Nate came to us through the HS from the local pound as an emergency safehouse because the pound wanted to go ahead and euthanize him since he was an owner turn in. He came to us on December 10, 2004. He gets to see his first christmas and hopefully many more. On January 23, 2005 Nate went to a safehouse that specializes in extremely shy dogs and he got placed in March of 2005.

On January 21, 2005 Krista came to us through the HS from the local pound. They are saying she's a lab mix but we can definitely see Staffie in her. She's as happy as can be and is out to enjoy life. Krista went to her new home on April 1, 2005.

On February 3, 2005 Norah came to us through the HS from the local pound. She's a boxer mix if not all boxer. As one can tell nothing is docked or cropped on her of which gives her a natural look. She's as happy as can be and is out to enjoy life. Norah went to her new home on March 20, 2005.

On March 21, 2005 Sapphire came to us through the HS from the local pound. She's an Australian cattledog mix that in her short 2 years has already been through a lot physically. She's Heartworm positive, erlichia positive and at some point was probably shot with a 22 caliber rifle as her rear left leg has obvious signs of healing incorrectly. The vet says she's probably got pelvic damage also and we've noticed she doesn't move her tail as freely as a normal dog. During her stay with us another bullet besides the one in her right side showed up. It migrated from her 3rd toe over to underneath her dewclaw, we had to have that one removed and that's how we know she was shot with a 22 caliber rifle. Sapphire was placed on January 15, 2006.

On April 4, 2005 Cassie came to us through the HS from the local pound. It's pretty much anyones guess as to what she is although the HS says her mother is a white and tan setter. Cassie got placed in the spring of 2006.

On November 8th, 2006 Rags came to us from a Banfield vet after being brought there by a good samaritan of whom found him in a ditch. He was hypothermic and starving when brought into the vet where he was nursed back to health before coming to us. He is estimated to be 8 weeks of age and a yellow lab mix. He was placed within the month and has another dog friend plus 2 cats.

On March 20th, 2007 Storm came to us as an owner surrender. The previous owners said she refused to listen just like their son of whom was supposed to train her. Well duh, any dog living strictly in the garage isn't going to listen with no training. She has learned quickly at our house, learning to sit on command within a week. Storm was placed in May of 2007.

On August 2nd, 2007 Tippie came to us in need of a foster home. She had been boarded up at a boarding kennel for several months where she lacked getting the training that she could only get in a home. She was turned in to the humane society with her 3 other littermates and her father. All of her littermates and her father have been placed. Immediate plans on training are house manners including making sure she's house broken and training her to sit on command.

On August 2nd, 2007 Daisy came to us In need of a foster home. She had been boarded up at a boarding kennel for several months where she lacked getting the training that she could only get in a home. She's a yellow lab mix. Immediate plans on training are house manners including making sure she's house broken and training her to sit on command. (picture to come soon)
