EAGLES LIVE

Glenn Frey (guitars/vocals/keyboards) - A Detroit native, Frey formed the duo Longbranch Pennywhistle with John David Souther and recorded an album in the late sixties for Amos Records. Frey also recorded with Bob Seger, played a short back-up stint with Bo Diddley and was a member of Linda Ronstadt's band when Eagles formed. Frey is one of Eagles' principal writers.

Don Henley (drums/vocals) - Raised in Texas, Henley first drew attention as a drummer and vocalist with Shiloh, a high school band that recorded one album for Amos Records. He met Frey during his induction into Ronstadt's band, and together they formed Eagles. Henley is also a principal writer and handles the majority of Eagles' lead vocals.

Don Felder (guitars/pedal steel/banjo/vocals) - Originally from Florida, Felder came to Eagles' attention through his session work on the West Coast and tours with David Blue and Crosby & Nash. His slide guitar abilities led to a session call on Eagles' third album, On The Border, and then to his inclusion as a full-time Eagle. Felder co-wrote "Hotel California," which won the "Record of the Year" Grammy in 1977.

Joe Walsh (guitars/vocals) - From New York, Walsh came to prominence as central figure of the James Gang; after four critically acclaimed albums, he relocated to Colorado and formed Barnstorm, his first solo unit. He worked with producer Bill Szymczyk, who's produced Eagles' albums since On The Border. After two albums with Barnstorm, Walsh invited members of Eagles to play on sessions for his next LP, So What?, an early example of what has since become a full-time collaboration. Walsh continued his string of successful solo albums with But Seriously Folks..., released during summer '78 and certified platinum shortly thereafter, and contributed "All Night Long" to the double platinum Urban Cowboy soundtrack LP, release in May '80 by Full Moon/Asylum.

Timothy B. Schmit (bass/vocals) - From California, Schmit came to Eagles with a strong background in professional music, starting in a high school group, The Contenders, and later as a member of The New Breed. (That band's, final incarnation, Glad, cut an album for ABC in '68). In '70, Schmit joined country-rock band Poco, replacing Randy Meisner, who joined Eagles. In '77 Schmit became a full-time member of the Eagles.
