Total solar eclipse Feb. 26, 1998
This eclipse was observed from the north coast of the island of Curacao in the Caribbean under
perfect skies.  The eclipse was sketched immediately after the eclipse. Notable features were
the large plumes at the "top" (east) and "bottom" (west) of the sun, the very spectacular polar brushes
(visible at the sides), and the long streamer at 4:30 (although not as long as the June 1992 streamer).
Note also the "gap" or coronal hole indicated at the 2:30 position.
