The
concert's video and film of the event will be directed by Spike Lee.

Weeks of speculation ended when the two companies agreed the ?6.3bn deal. Seagram's Universal entertainment arm, which owns the MCA and Geffen record labels such as Aqua and the Wallflowers. To own artists as diversified as Bon Jovi to
Andrew Lloyd Webber, Seagram will take on an additional $6 billion in debt, which the company could reduce through asset sales, including the possible sale of PolyGram's film studio. (CNN)

- Jon's stuff is tentatively due out in late July (that date's not etched in stone); however, (SURPRISE!), it's not on Polygram U.S.'s release schedule, only Polygram U.K. and Polygram Europe's. - Bon Jovi will be anchoring the soundtrack to the sure-to-be-summer blockbuster movie, "Armageddon." The soundtrack is out in late June, the movie opens July 1. The spokesperson confirms that Jon Bon Jovi has also been approached as a contributor to "Armageddon," but it wasn't known at press time if the track was going to be by Bon Jovi himself or Bon Jovi the band. The latter would mark the group's long awaited return following two years of solo projects.
