Fourth bomb threat shakes Pekanbaru
PEKANBARU, Riau: Pekanbaru city received on Monday the fourth bomb threat in the
past three months, with the target this time the Pekanbaru Mall.
A male telephone caller told a receptionist at the mall at about 1 p.m. that a bomb
was set to explode in the mall. The receptionist called the police, who ordered the
evacuation of the area.
Officers combed the mall and the surrounding area on Jl. Teuku Umar before declaring
the threat a hoax. -- JP
