The Christian of Poso/Central Sulawesi need international help
Nine Cases from July 2004 - November 2004
1. Poso, Sayo. Thursday, July 15, 2004, Mrs. Helmi Tombiling ( Christian), 36, was
stabbed in front of her kiosk by two motor-cyclist people while buying gasoline.
Perpetrator use the motor of Suzuki Shogun DN 4969 AD, the moment Mrs. Helmi fill
the gasoline, she was stabbed direct by 9 stab. Mrs. Helmi was killed at once,
perpetrator break away and then fallen down, they left the motor cycle behind and
disappeared.
2. The very bad Attack by 5 terrorists in the Church of GKST Efatta Palu, happened
Sunday evening July 18, 2004, while the worship service been taking place. According
to eyewitness, three terrorists waking up outside and two entering the church and
immediately discharge the gunfire up at Rev. Miss. Susianty Tinulele which she was
leading the service as well as up randomly at the congregations. The head of Rev.
Susianti penetrated by a bullet and unload the its back skull, she fell down and died
at once. Four other member of congregation were injured, Mr. Midianto, 18,
penetrating left foot, Mr. Farid, 15, penetrating left hip, Miss Listiani, 18, penetrating in
left thigh; Miss Desri Yanti Tangkede, 16, fired [in] shares of her head and nose and
she was in critical condition.
3. Terror return happened in Poso, precisely in the village Betania 10 km at the west
Poso. Mr. Sudisman Mobinta , 36, while he was residing at the sugar palm tree about
at 04.30 pm, 4 people came and direct shot him. That gunfire hit the knee result the
victim fallen down. The perpetrator disappeared immediately. Mr. Sudisman then
taken to Poso hospital.
4. August 3, 2004, about at 03.00 pm, Mr. Jonli Tumbelaka, 36, on the way from Poso
to Palu, precisely in countryside of Sausu Piore, his truck box car was interdicted by
5 motor-cyclist people. One of them lift the pistol and shoot Mr. Jonli, and the bullet
hit his chick and nose. His driver drove the car to the police station in Sausu, and
then Mr. Jonli immediately taken by ambulance to Palu hospital.
5. October 20, 2004, Mr. Hans Manipi, 30, custodian of Church of Bethel of Indonesia
Poso, about 09.00 pm was fired at his back. While Mr. Hans with his friends watching
TV suddenly from their window direction they were strafed by the gunfire. Mr. Hans
got out the house, mean to ask the help but the perpetrator shot him from roadway
direction. He then taken to the Poso Hospital.
6. Date of 29 October 2004, Mr. Nandar, 35, road worker which observing painting
project in the village Didiri, 75 km southward Poso, or 19 km from Tentena (Christian
area), was announced lost. But the day after, October 30, about 09.00 am, he was
found by village people while he was crawling to go up from the bank, in a state of
hand trussed and mouth stuffed up and his face was punched by a blunt object.
According to His confession, he was taken and kidnaped by 10 armed people, after
maltreated, he was left off hand in creavasse. Seemingly Mr. Nandar ( Islam )
intentionally be maltreated and will be let for death or lost in the Christian countryside
so it could drive the Moslem society reaction to conduct the retaliation new attack.
7. Date of 04 November 2004, Mr. Sarminalis Ndele, 49, Head of Village of Pinedapa,
Poso Coastal area, found in tragic dead. On 07.30 - 08.00 pm, He was fetched by
somebody which stacked. Its Tragic, about pkl. 10.30 pm, his head (was cut off from
his body) was found in Poso, at the street of Sayo, or 20 km from Pinedapa. At the
morning about 09.30, HIs body was found in countryside Masani or 2 km from
Pinedapa. At pack of the Head found by a leaf of paper writing down " still 999
Christians to be massacred like this."
8. Tomi Wijaya alias Imbo, 43, driver of angkot Tentena - Poso - Madale, living in
Tentena, on Monday 7 November 2004 moment usher the passenger from Madale
came home to Tentena, at 10.00 am, 200 meter from Madale, his car was interdicted
by 4 motor-cyclist and direct discharge the gunfire from window direction right side.
The bullet was penetrated the window frame and hit under his ear . Imbo was killed in
place. 4 other passengers panic and scream and one of them immediately run to the
village of Madale called for help.
9. The convulsion and sorrow of Christian citizen not yet alleviated the effect of 2
above mentioned event, one day before Idulfitri (The Islam great day), Saturday
November 13, 2004 about 10.00 am, suddenly caused an uproar with a bus of angkot
DN 1599 E of route of Sepe Poso Town exploded by terrorist in front of central market
of Poso, ironically event location only apart 50 metre from Mapolres (Main Police
Station) Poso. Bomb the powered category burst rather high, broke the the bus
angkot and also damage 4 other vehicles. Passenger amounting to 9 people ( citizen
of Christian of countryside Sepe) where awaiting departure time after shopping at
market, experiencing of awful punching, most extremity shares fall to pieces cut,
there were cutting of hand and foot thrown far. 2 dead man in place, and 4 other died
at Parigi Hospital while they were on the way to hospital of Undata Palu. Names of
Killed, (1) Mrs. Dorce Todindi, 36, (2) Mrs. Rayakan Baloli, 47, (3) Miss Doliana
Timali, 27, (4) Mrs. Altin Andila, 30, (5) Miss Nova Timboko, 15, (6) Mr. Yusuf Woku,
66. What bodily injury, (1) Mrs. Warni Mores, 30, (2) Mrs. Selvi Boligombo, 36 , (3)
Mr. Yahya Baffle, 27, his legs was cut off.
Until now the Christians never have any bad reaction emotionally. But probably their
passion would be not long enough. How many more Christians would be shot and
killed?.
From all shooting event, bomb and murder that went on Poso and its surroundings,
there no marking that Police seriously try to catch and lay open the perpetrator / all
terrorist; even from event of shooting of Ferry Silalahi Attorney of rear until October
2003, there were 17 shooting and murder cases, which have never been expressed.
Exactly there were suspects been caught up, but later then discharged with the
reason less evidence. Only Sofian alias Fian anticipated one of perpetrator of shooting
of Attorney of Ferry Silalahi succeed be under arrest in Ampana, last 15 August, but
to date in the reality terrorist machinations anticipated have the bearing with the
perpetrator of shooting Rev. Miss Susianti Tinulele and some murder event in Poso
not yet succeeded unloaded and surely be under arrest. Except in the case on Jonli
Tumbelaka. According to the police information, the perpetrator of shooting of Jonli
Tumbelaka, Santoso and four other friends have already been under arrest.
Because its Bomb Poso impact was wide enough in society even in the international
community, hence central government seen to be try serious handle it. By sent to
Poso about 2 special SSK team of Mobile Brigade with inclusive of all reliable intel
and anti bomb.
At date of 16 November 2004, The Minister of Coordination of Politics Peace and Law,
The Minister of Home Affair, Commander TNI, The National Police Chief, Comander
(TNI) Udayana, came to Poso. Their Statement which, that governmental is very
serious with the problem of Poso, some this last event cannot be seen as ordinary
criminal. This is terrorist deed, hence its handling have to use the Regulation of Anti
Terrorist.
What a pity, to date result of effort Police still very minim. 10 days ago 2 suspects
who were anticipated to be involved by Bomb Poso be under arrest, but again by the
reason of that insufficient of evidence, hence they were released.
We don't even believe our government now. The bomb, shooting, killing, of people
(Christians) will never stop. We really need the hand of International Community now.
