Funeral services for Joseph J. Hutnik, 84, of Willowick, will be held 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Jack Monreal Funeral Home of Willowick, E. 320th St., and Vine St.

Mr. Hutnik died Aug. 10, 2003, at Altercare Nursing Home in Mayfield Heights.

Born June 29, 1919, in Coral, Pa., he lived in Euclid before moving to Willowick 48 years ago.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a lifetime member of the Knights of Columbus 3rd Degree, and a 4th Degree Order of Alhambra.

Mr. Hutnik worked as a coil winder at Reliance Electric in Cleveland for 47 years, retiring in 1983.

Survivors are his son, Andrew of Willowick; daughters, Janet of Dunbar, W. Va., and Mary Ellen (Rick) Branick of Willoughby; grandchildren, Christopher and Alicia Branick; and sisters, Rose Fedorcek of Naples, Fla., Pauline (Bill) Haller of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Betty (Ken) Hissam of Lake Placid, Fla.

His wife, Josephine died in 1997. His sisters, Mary, Ginger, Rita and Frances; and brothers, John, Andrew, Frank, and Paul, are also deceased.

Friends may call 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mentor Cemetery.
