Alvin H. Large

Funeral services for Alvin H. Large, 89, a lifelong resident of Euclid, will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Williams Catholic Church, 367 E. 260th St., in Euclid.


Mr. Large died April 20, 2004, at Euclid General Hospital. He was born Dec. 7, 1914, in Cleveland.


He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. Mr. Large was a member of St. Williams Church, Knights of Columbus 4498, Magnificat Council, and Alhambra. He also enjoyed bowling, dancing, and golfing.


Mr. Large worked as a winder at Reliance Electric in Cleveland before his retirement.
Survivors are his daughters, Cheri (Ed) Pages of Concord Township, and Suzanne Berry of Concord Township; grandchildren, Tawnya (Tom) Petti, Tammy (Joe) Samac, Tarlyn Pages, and Scott Berry; and great-grandchildren, Chase, Taylor, Joey, Jessica, Nicholas, and Hanna. His wife, Loretta M. Large, is deceased.


Friends may call 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Brunner Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 8466 Mentor Ave., in Mentor. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
