Funeral Mass for Harold J. "Harry" Tomsich,
86, of Willowick, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary Magdalene Church,
460 E. 321 St., Willowick.
Mr. Tomsich died Nov. 29, 2006, at LakeWest Hospital in Willoughby.
Born July 14, 1920, in Cleveland, he had lived in Willowick for the past
52 years.
He was a parishioner of St. Mary Magdalene Church, where he served as an
usher for 30 years, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus
Magnificat Council 4498 in Willowick, S.N.P.J. Lodge 142, A.M.L.A. No.
8, Towmotor Retirees, and the Slovene Home Pensioners. He also enjoyed
gardening, roller skating, swimming and polka music.
Mr. Tomsich retired in 1982, from Caterpillar Corporation in Mentor.
Survivors are his wife of 58 years, Josephine (Lipovec) Tomsich;
children, Gregory (Sharon) Tomsich, Jeanette (Larry) Guthrie, Joann
(Thomas) Gaydos and Robert Tomsich; grandchildren, Rachel and Michael
Tomsich, Bradford and Patrick Guthrie, Melissa (Raymond III) Sminchak,
Jill (Gary) Dixon and Adam Gaydos; sister, Rose Kocjan; and niece, Lois
Levar.
His granddaughter, Alexis Guthrie, is deceased.
Friends may call 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday
at Monreal Funeral Home, 35400 Curtis Blvd., Eastlake. Burial will be in
All Souls Cemetery in Chardon Township.
