Funeral Mass for Steve Yurkovic,
age 91, of Willowick, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, June 25, 2008, at St.
Mary Magdalene Church, 32114 Vine St., Willowick, with Fr. Dale Yurkovic
officiating.
Mr. Yurkovic died June 21, 2008, in Cleveland.
Born Dec. 6, 1916, in Cleveland, he lived in the Collinwood area before
moving to Willowick 35 years ago.
Steve was a bowler as well as a handy man who was always fixing or
building things around his home. He was also a dog lover, especially his
dog, Bella.
He was a World War II U.S. Army Veteran and was a member of the Knights
of Columbus and the Knights of Lithuania.
He worked as a machinist for Clark Controller.
Survivors are his wife of 61 years, Lillian (nee Markevicus); sons, Ken
(Carole) and Fr. Dale; grandchildren, Dawn, Lisa and Steven;
great-grandchildren, Malia and Jacob; and brother-in-law, Richard (Jean)
Marks.
His son, Raymond, is deceased.
Friends may call 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, at Jakubs-Danaher Funeral Home,
36000 Lake Shore Blvd., Eastlake. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery
in Chardon Township. |
