        Harold E. Jones is a former Ordained Minister of Religion, Harold served 15 years in Parish Ministry and 5 years with a World-Wide Missionary Organisation.

        He studied for the Ministry in Australia and the USA and as well as Theological studies he has completed courses in Child and Adult Education. He has a Certificate of Specialist training from the USA.

        Harold is married with 3 children and in 1967 he and his wife Ann suffered the anguish of a Stillborn baby son and experienced that lack of support and help that was the custom at that time. He has a particular interest in assisting Parents who suffer the death of a baby.
        Harold and Ann are Co-Founders of SANDS (SA) [the Stillbirth And Neonatal Death Support Group], developed to help Bereaved Parents cope with the death of their baby.

        Harold resigned his Parish in 1977 and joined Alfred James Funeral Homes [a large South Australian Funeral Company] as a Senior Manager and Funeral Director. He trained in all aspects of the Funeral Profession, gaining a Certificate of Funeral Management with Honours.

        In June 1981, Harold was asked to become the First Bereavement Educator in the Funeral Profession in South Australia and only the Second Educator in Australia. He set up Bereavement Educational Services, a division of Alfred James Funeral Homes and pioneered the work in this field.

        Harold is the Co-Founder and Former National President of FABEA [The Funeral And Bereavement Educators Association]. Now known as FABA [Funeral And Bereavement Association]. This Association accredits those Professionals working in this field with the Australian Funeral Directors Association.

        Harold wrote and developed the "COPING WITH LOSS AND GRIEF" Course, the " MANAGING LOSS AND GRIEF" Course and the "CHRISTIAN MINISTRY TO THE GRIEVING" Course that has assisted so many people identify losses in their life and begin their own Grief Work.

        He also wrote and developed the "GRIEF MANAGEMENT TRAINING" #1; #2; #3; #4; #5; #6 Courses. These are certificated Skills Training programs designed to train Professionals and those intending to work within the Support Groups so that they may work confidently and comfortably in the area of major Loss and Grief.

        Harold was diagnosed with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome in 1992 after having contracted Glandular Fever which was mis-diagnosed, and his health began to deteriorate.
        Harold resigned from full time employment as the Director of Bereavement Educational Services in April 1993 because of his CFS and commenced his own private Company.
        Through his own company he has taught Grief Management Skills Training Courses in the general community. He designed and taught Training programs for a number of Health care Groups and for Private Enterprise Organisations. He has designed Grief Management Skills Training programs for Churches to enable Clergy and Parish Workers to enhance their Ministry to those who are Grieving.

        Harold was forced to sell his Business in 1998 and retire early because of his deteriorating health with CFS and Fibromyalgia Syndrome.
