Jan Hlavac was acquired via trade with the Philadelphia Flyers around Christmas. The Canucks traded Donald Brashear (good riddance!)BLANK for Jan Hlavac. Jan Hlavac started out very hot, becoming one of the Canucks most productive players. Jan had an impressive rookie season in 1999-00 with the Rangers, particularly after teaming with fellow Czechs Petr Nedved and Radek Dvorak on the ""Czechmates"" line, scoring 19 goals with 23 assists for 42 points in 67 games. Hlavac is looking to raise his game next season after falling off his production this year at most times.
