Tay< Being that all your songs are free, and are done mostly through your computer, do you get any criticism for that from anyone? For example; Other artists who hit it up (but suck alot of balls) in a studio.
PDW< No one ever bitches about my songs being free cause no one thinks that they're worth paying for. A lot of them haters are actually sated by that one fact.
Tay< When and why did you decide to pick up the mic and start rapping, and why did you decide to make your music totally free?
PDW< 1997 was when the whole PDWelfare thing started and it was just for shits and giggles at first. Of course the reason for the season has changed around from year to year, but once we started uploading shit onto the net (starting with the 2nd album) things took a twist for the satirical.
As far as not charging for the music there are a bunch of reasons for that, but I'll boil it down to two. One, no one would pay for it anyway. Two, I make this shit for my own motherfuckin reasons and I aint gonna have none of these motherfuckers out there thinking I owe them something just cause they slid some cash my way. Aint influenced by monetary fans or none of that bullshit.
Tay< What is your greatest accomplishment since you've started rapping?
PDW< Sticking with it for so long I suppose. I mean in a way it's kinda sad as well, but you know, finish what you start and all that shit.
Tay< Why the hell did you cut off your hair?
PDW< People kept making fun of my hair and it really hurt my feelings. I'm pretty sensitive and it was just tearing me up inside when all those people that hate my music also use to tell me I looked ... (sob sob) ... like a ... faggot (GASP). That combined with the fact that I kept puking all up in that shit when I went out on benders.
Tay< I remember an update on your site long ago, that said one of the vodkettes (Ashleigh i think it was) was gonna be on that game show The Weakest Link. My question is, did i just dream about that update? And if i never then did she ever get on it?
PDW< She did really fly out there to LA for the show, but turned out she just got to be a backup (although they did say they were thinking bout having her on at a later date and time, (but that don't look like it's happening).
Tay<. Do you think there is some sort of wierd Vodkette curse (seeing as how two of them have passed away, Lisa Lefteye Lopez and Aliyah)?
PDW< The only curse them bitches got is that they can't have me all to themselves. The curse of loving me and having to share me is one that's killed many ladies hearts and souls.
Tay< When can we expect a new PDW album to drop?
PDW< You can expect that to happen when you
all start sending e-mails at hDJ Jewboy bitching about how he says he's working
on shit but never sends shit PDW's way. I mean I could do another album
on my own like that "5 Cent
Hookers, 10 Cent Songs", but the fact of the matter
is I don't want to. This time it's me and Jewboy or nothing and nothing.
Tay< What 3 CDs do you own that you could not be able to live without listening to (assuming you own 3 cds)?
PDW< 1.) Siamese Dream - Smashing Pumpkins
2.) Any of my Prince albums
3.) CCR's Greatest Hits

Tay< If you could do a colab with any artist/group who would it be and why?
PDW< Biz Markie, Kool Keith, Humpty Hump, or Wesley Willis. I mean just to see if I could even come close to sounding like I belong on a track with them. I mean I would pick Rza but I'd be embarrassed with the results and I don't make that kinda music anyway. I could never take myself seriously enough to be on a track with him.
Tay< What was your favorite TV show growing up as a kid?
PDW< Dukes Of Hazard. Fuck, still is.
Tay<. Allow me to set a scenerio. Ok, you, PDW, have a choice for some wierd reason to sign to any record label you want, with you having total control over what your albums turn out like and what not.. what label would you choose (Indy or a big name like Sony or whatever)?
PDW< I gotta be honest, I really don't know shit about labels and I aint ever given it much thought either since it'd never happen. But whatever the label was we'd be making some changes. There wouldn't be any hard copies of the shit sold, it'd all be on a download only basis in an attempt to further this connection with the Neon Glow.
Tay< What, if anything, is new with PDW lately?
PDW< I bought a new shirt a few weeks ago.
Tay< Do you have advice or words of wisedom for anybody reading this interview?
