Nara Institute,
Seoul
Dear Greg,

I am writing not only to complain about yet another Hagwon in Korea, but issue a
warning to others who may be cheated out of hard work by ruthless managers.

My issue:

I was employed by NARA Institute, who found my name through a mutual friend they
say. I know many people named ******** so I assumed it was someone I knew and let
my guard down. I am a trusting and honest person and expected the same from people
here in Korea. First, I asked them about the legal issues pertaining to working at
two jobs. They specifically told me that it was permissible because I do have my
E-2 visa and I would not be working at another Hagwon. They told me that it was perfectly
legal as long as I was working by phone. Anyways, I tried to do the job but they
constantly harrassed me at home and at work and I had people calling me at all hours.
After all this they did not pay me and I have a huge telephone bill to pay. To top
this off, they want to bill me for the students that are 'quiting' because I am not
teaching anymore. I did not realize that people could be so ruthless. I don't care
about the salary, but I do care about my phone bill and my time and effort that were
wasted.

I do not wish that upon anyone else. Please issue a warning to any others who are
'looking' to work for NARA Institute. They don't pay a penny.
