Dragon Tears

Chapter 2

1

“Candidate eight-five and ninety-five.” Azuma called.
Teara swallowed and looked over at Roose nervously. She didn’t want to hurt the poor kid, but was going to have to. She walked out in the training room with Roose and smiled. “You can do it kid.” She said.
Roose whimpered. “Yeah right. I saw what you did to Hiead.” He said.
“That’s what your problem is. You keep telling yourself you can’t and you become scared. Just kept telling yourself you can and the outcome will be a lot better.” Teara said hoping Roose would take the advice.
      “But-.” Roose stammered.
“No buts! Now picture me as someone you really hate right now. Or someone you’re not scared of.” Teara said.
Roose thought for a second and smiled. “Okay Teara-kun.” He said sweetly. He pictured her as Clay and felt the motivation rise inside him. He ran after her, throwing a punch to have it caught.
“Wow. Roose sure kicked it into high gear this morning.” Zero commented on how well he was doing.
      “Go Roose!” Wrecka cheered.
Hiead looked down at the fight and was slightly impressed at how well Roose was fighting, but he knew better. He knew that Teara was holding back.
Yamagi looked down into the training room and couldn’t believe his eyes. He was probably the most shocked one there. He watched as Roose dropkicked Teara in the face sending her into the ground and winced. “That has to hurt.” He whispered to himself.
Azuma smiled. “We’ll make a pilot out of him yet. He has improved greatly.” He commented. He watched as Teara kicked Roose in the stomach. “But he has a lot to improve on to catch up to her.”
Roose stopped and held his stomach not being able to move.
“Get up Roose! The only way to become a pilot is to get through me!” Teara yelled at him. “I order you to get up and fight! Or I have no choice but resolve into blackmail!”
Roose looked up slightly. “You can’t Teara-kun. I thought you were my friend.” He said weakly.
“And as your friend I want you to make it. If you don’t get up I’m afraid something might happen to Wrecka.” Teara said the first sentence softly but her threat far more harsh.
Anger flickered through Roose, but he held it down. “Wrecka-chan has nothing to do with this.” He said wearily.
“She will if you don’t get up!” Teara yelled. “Unless you want me to hurt her GET UP!”
Roose had anger flicker in his eyes and he stood up. He looked at Teara with death in his eyes and ran after her. He punched her in the mouth sending her back into the wall. He quickly punched her repetitively in the stomach until she coughed up blood.
“Get your partners out of there now!” Azuma yelled.
Hiead, having to trade places with Teara, ran out in the training room with Wrecka.
Wrecka pulled Roose back and looked at him.
Roose looked at Teara sadly. “I’m sorry Teara-kun. I don’t know what happened.” He said sadly.
“Don’t worry about it…kid.” Teara managed as blood leaked out of her mouth. “All those things I said to you…they…they weren’t true. I would never do a thing like that.”
Hiead looked down at Teara and raised an eyebrow. “How did you manage that?” He asked as Wrecka walked a broken-hearted Roose out of the training room.
“I can get anyone pissed. But I have to admit…the kid is strong.” Teara said standing up and holding her stomach. “Damn.”
Hiead walked behind Teara with his arms crossed looking away.
“Wow Roose. Look what you did to her.” Saki exclaimed.
“I said I was sorry.” Roose said.
“Wonderful improvement Eight-five.” Azuma said. “Ninety-five go get washed up. Eighty-seven please assist her.”
Hiead snarled. He was hoping he would get to fight Zero. He followed the limping girl back to their room and into their bathroom. He watched as she put her hands under the faucet waiting for the motion sensor to kick in.
Teara filled her hands up with cold water and splashed it in her face. She looked down at her blood-drenched clothes and pulled off her suit. She noticed a huge gash on her stomach. “Goddamn it.” She cursed.
“What?” Hiead asked between clenched teeth as he leaned against the door and crossed his arms.
“Hand me a towel.” Teara said.
Hiead grabbed a towel and threw it at her. “Hurry up! I want a chance to fight Zero!” He exclaimed a bit annoyed.
Teara turned around. “Can you figure a way to quickly stop the bleeding?” She asked trying not to let her anger flood.
Hiead wide eyed her wound and walked over to her. He kneeled down and looked at it. He stood up and opened the medicine cabinet where all the bandages were stored. He took down an ace wrap and some gauze along with a bottle of aid spray. He set the gauze and ace wrap on the floor next to him and started to spray the wound.
“That stings.” Teara whined. She tried not to pull away but had found herself taking a step back.
“Hold still.” Hiead snapped. He sprayed the wound a bit more while Teara bit her lip. He took the gauze and held it in place while wrapping the ace wrap around her stomach over and over again. “There.”
Teara looked up into his eyes. “Thanks.” She said quietly.
Hiead stood glaring down at Teara with an emotionless expression on his face. “You should probably get that taken care of too.” He said pointing down to her chest.
Teara looked down and noticed her bra had blood spotting on it. She blushed and turned around. She pulled her bra aside and noticed a small cut on her right breast. “It’s just a little scratch.” She said turning around to have Hiead still right behind her.
“I noticed.” Hiead said quietly before walking into his room.
Teara’s face turned a brighter shade of red. She walked out of the bathroom just to have Hiead throw another suit at her. She looked at it and raised an eyebrow. “This is a candidate suit.” She said.
“You practically are one. I’m sure Kushida won’t mind if you borrow his.” Hiead said.
Teara looked at it and shrugged. She pulled on the suit humming cheerfully to her self. “These are a lot more comfortable…and they have more room.” She commented.
Hiead grumbled. “Can we go now?” He asked annoyed.
“I’m going to re-do my ponytail first.” Teara said pulling the rubber band out of her hair and letting it scatter all over.
Hiead snarled. “You look prettier with it down.” He snapped. He realized how that sounded. He snarled again at him self for making a complement. “You think so?” Teara asked.
Hiead looked at her and nodded slowly. He glanced at the time and scolded. “Great. Now training’s over.” He snarled.
“I’m sorry.” Teara said sadly looking down at the floor.
Hiead grunted. “Don’t be. What’s done is done.” He said in an annoyed tone. He headed for the door just to be stopped by Teara. “What?” He snapped.
Teara looked at him as he glanced over his shoulder at her. “I can’t remember where the mess hall is.” She said shamefully.
Hiead clutched the wall and snarled. “I will show you ONE more time.” He said between clenched teeth.
“Thank you.” Teara said sweetly. She followed Hiead down the hall and only glanced at him once in a while just to see him looking up at the wall. “Um Hiead?”
Hiead didn’t answer her. He just looked down at her to tell her he was listening.
“W-will you eat dinner with me?” Teara stuttered.
Hiead raised an eyebrow and smirked, looking back up at the wall. “Why would you want me there?” He asked.
“Beca-because I want to make sure I don’t get lost.” Teara said quickly. She felt Hiead’s crimson gaze as she looked nervously down at the floor.
Hiead grunted and opened the mess hall door. He led Teara to the trays and stood in line with her.

“This place is peaceful.” Teara said lying on her back with her arms crossed under her head.
“As long as no one else is here.” Hiead said standing over Teara.
“Lay down. Get comfortable.” Teara said picking up a few blades of grass.
Hiead looked down at her briefly and snarled. “I shown you the relaxation room as promised. I never said I was going to stay here long.” He said.
Teara stood up and dusted the grass off of her suit. Or better yet Yamagi’s suit. “It’s almost lights out anyway.” She said.
Hiead grunted and started to walk away with Teara behind him. He heard the intercom come on with Azuma’s booming voice declaring fifteen more minutes until lights out.
“Hiead how come you’re afraid of emotion?” Teara asked.
Hiead stopped and turned glaring at Teara evilly. He picked her up by the collar of her suit and pinned her against the wall. “Do NOT try and understand me!” He exclaimed in her face. He shoved her into the wall harder before dropping her. He walked away having the memories of the time he had done and said the exact thing to Ikhny.
Teara slipped down the wall and started crying. She wasn’t sure why, but she was crying. She shoved her face on her knees and wrapped her arms around them. Fortunately for her, Yamagi and Roose were racing down the hall and noticed her. They stopped and kneeled down next to her.
“Teara-kun? Are you okay?” Roose asked worriedly.
“Teara?” Yamagi asked. He reached up and was about to lift her face when he remembered her EX. “Teara come on. We’ll be late.”
      “What happened?” Roose asked.
“Nothing.” Teara said lifting her head. She sniffed and whipped away her tears.
“Are you sure Teara-kun?” Roose asked.
“Yeah I’m sure.” Teara said forcing a smile. She stood up and walked with them quietly down the hall back to their room just as the lights went out. Teara thanked Yamagi and Roose before getting dressed in a nightgown and slipping into bed. She lay wide-awake as she thought about what Hiead had said to her. She got up and opened the door praying no one heard it open.
Hiead watched Teara slip out the door. He sat up and slowly crawled from his bed. He walked over to the door and pressed the button as quietly as possible. He stepped out the door and walked down the hall…having a feeling she went back to the relaxation room. He looked inside the grassy area and sure enough Teara was in there talking to herself.
“Why must you do this Hiead? You have to learn that love and trust aren’t just words.” Teara said aloud unaware of the figure behind her. “If you don’t want me in your life that’s fine. But why can’t you find someone to talk to? That’s all I really needed. I’m fine now because of it and I’m sure you would be too.”
Hiead looked at her with surprise that he was trying to hide.
“I would do anything to help my friends and believe it or not you are one.” Teara said with a sniff. She tried to bite her lip to stop the tears from falling, but it did no help. “Even if it means sacrificing everything…I will help you. Now I just hope that this message gets through to your dreams. I’ve been practicing you know, but I’m not sure if it’ll work.”
Hiead took a few steps back and ran back to their room.
Teara turned herself around afraid that she heard someone. When she found nothing but air she sighed and slowly stood up, dusting off her thin nightgown. She walked back down the hall and punched in the code to her door. She walked in and heard it click softly behind her.
“Why?” Hiead asked as Teara tiptoed past him. He was lying back with his arms crossed under his head and covered from the waist down.
Teara stopped in her tracks and looked at Hiead with surprise. “What?” She asked.
“I got the message.” Hiead said.
      “Really?” Teara asked.
Hiead rolled his eyes. “Not in the way you might have imagined but I heard you.” He said not moving from the position he had been in the whole time.
Teara didn’t understand him so she decided to think about it later. “I meant it all. Hiead you have to talk to someone.” She pleaded.
Hiead sat up and stared at her with a blank expression. “You’re wrong. Emotions bring nothing but trouble. That’s why I’m better off alone.” He said.
Teara sighed annoyingly. “This is fucking unbelievable. If you would take your head out of your ass for one second you would see your wrong!” She yelled.
Roose and Yamagi woke up to her loud voice.
Zero and Clay had been awake long before.
Hiead jumped up from his bed and grabbed her by the collar of her clothes once more. He lifted her up so his mouth touched her ear. “I know where my place in life is. I suggest you find yours.” He practically breathed. With that he dropped her and walked out the door.
Roose was the first to jump up from his bed and run over to Teara who was slowly falling to the ground. “Teara-kun are you alright?” He asked worriedly.
“That bastard! Why does he always do this to people!” Zero exclaimed. He jumped up from his bed and ran out the door just before it clicked shut.
Yamagi walked over to Teara and kneeled down. “Come on. You’re stronger than this. Don’t let him win.” He said hovering his hand around her face ready to touch her but deciding otherwise.
Teara looked up at him and smiled. “You’re right. I just need some rest. Thanks you guys.” She said. She quickly planted a kiss on Roose and Yamagi’s cheek before standing up. She walked over to her bed and fell on it exhaustedly.
Roose blushed as he touched his cheek and walked over to his bed. “Good night Teara-kun.” He said softly.
Yamagi walked over to his bed turning his head from everyone to hide his blush.
Zero came back through the door snarling. “I can’t find him.” He said angrily. He walked over to his bed and punched his pillow before resting his head on it.
“Don’t worry about it. I’m fine.” Teara said. “Thanks.”
“He’s just a bastard. He’ll never learn.” Zero said. He closed his eyes and yawned sleepily. “You’d have to force him to listen.”
Teara looked up at the ceiling. Hiead…She thought before falling asleep.

Teara woke up that morning to be alone in the room. She checked the clock and jumped up from her bed. “I can’t believe I didn’t get up!” She exclaimed to herself. Before she could pull off her nightgown the door opened at Zero stepped in.
“Wow. You slept in even later than I did.” Zero said. “Why you in such a hurry?”
“We’re late for class!” Teara exclaimed digging through her bag.
“Cool it. It’s our day off.” Zero said walking over to his bed.
Teara sighed with relief and fell back on her bed. “Thank god.” She said. She waited a minute in complete silence until a question popped inside her head from long ago. “Zero…remember when Hiead and I fought in the training room?”
“Yeah.” Zero said leaning back on his arms.
“Who redressed me?” Teara asked looking at him with her head hanging off the side of the bed so he was upside down in her eyes.
“Redressed you? Hiead and I took you in the room and I left back in a hurry. No one redressed you.” Zero laughed.
“Oh.” Teara said. She got up and walked over to the bathroom. She took down some gauze from the medicine cabinet and redid her bandage.
“Why?” Zero asked from inside the room.
“No reason. I just thought someone did that’s all.” Teara said. She walked back out into the room and sat on the bed.
“By the way. Azuma got you some candidate uniforms so you don’t have to use Yamagi’s.” Zero said.
“I only used one…” Teara said with a blush.
“I’m just telling you.” Zero said standing up. “I’ll leave you alone so you can get dressed.”
Teara watched him as he walked out of the room having the door click softly behind him. She pulled on a uniform that she dug out of her bag and smiled. “This one fits even better.” She said. She realized it shown a lot more cleavage then the other one, but liked it any ways. She pulled on her knuckle gloves and was about to pull her hair up in a ponytail but decided not to. She slipped on her black boots with the white G.O.A. symbol on them and walked over to the door. Before she could press the button the door opened in front of her and she came torso to torso with Hiead. She looked up at him and blushed as she realized he was in nothing but a pair of pants and felt her chest touch his.
Hiead looked down at Teara who hadn’t moved. He raised an eyebrow as if she was trying to tell him something that made no sense at all. “Will you move?” He asked angrily.
Teara turned redder as she quickly stepped out of his way. “Um Hiead. I really need to talk to you.” She said more boldly then expected.
“I don’t want to hear it.” Hiead said turning around to face her at the foot of his bed. He stood there and crossed his arms.
“We…well you have no choice but to listen!” Teara said.
Hiead raised an eyebrow and threw back his head laughing. “I have a choice alright. And I can do what I choose to.” He said evilly starring her in the eye.
Teara looked into his cold eyes and felt her pride along with her courage slip and she knew that was what Hiead was trying to do. No! I won’t give up! She exclaimed to herself. “You have to listen!” She exclaimed.
“Oh really?” Hiead said smoothly. “And how exactly are you going to make me?”
Teara swallowed hard and felt her back stiffen as the door behind her closed shut.
“See you’re too scared to do anything to me.” Hiead laughed about to turn around. His eyes widened a bit as Teara charged after him.
Teara tackled the half-shocked Hiead to his bed and pinned him by his shoulders. She straddled him to make sure he couldn’t get away easily. “Tell me Hiead! Or I’ll have to read your mind! Why are you afraid of emotions? Why are you so cold all the time?” She screamed weakly into his face.
Hiead was shocked and tried his best not to show it. He felt his shoulders being held firmly to his bed. He looked up into Teara’s eyes and noticed them beginning water. He snarled at the fact he was being held against his own will. He hated not being in total control. “You want to know why Teara? Because they will bring me down in my quest to becoming a pilot! They will bring nothing for me except pain and misery!” He yelled.
Teara felt her grip on him slip slightly. “Hiead. You have to understand. Emotions are what bring out your personality. No matter how much of a tough guy you are you can still show passion and still keep that image.” She said letting a tear fall down her check.
“I can care less what people think of me! Can’t you see that! It’s just the pain that comes with them that is unbearable!” Hiead yelled trying to move, but having no luck as Teara tighten her grip on him.
“There will be pain no matter what! But it will go away with friendship and love.” Teara said.
“Those are words that were made up to confuse you! To make you believe such things exists. But you know what Victoria? I’m not blinded by them.” Hiead said. He shook loose one of his shoulders just to have Teara press her lips firmly to his. His eyes were wide but his body went limp from the sudden movement.
Teara managed to open Hiead’s mouth and let her tongue go in contact with his. She pulled away but didn’t move.
Hiead looked up at her still shocked.
Teara smiled slightly. “That was emotion Hiead. And if you thought that hurt then you have serious mental issues.” She said. She was about to get off Hiead but felt his hand grab her arm before she could move.
Hiead pulled Teara back down so that her torso was against his. He stared into her trouble eyes before pressing his lips forcefully to hers, kissing her passionately. He never felt this way before. He wanted her right then and there.
Teara pulled away as she felt Hiead’s hands caressing her body. She looked at him with soft confused eyes. “Hiead…I…” She didn’t know what she was trying to say. She couldn’t just leave him knowing that she had started this whole thing. And she couldn’t just leave him because she wanted him too.
“Shut up Victoria.” Hiead said softly stopping his hands. He brought her down so his lips were touching her neck kissing it softly.
Teara was shocked at his words even though they sounded compassionate…for Hiead anyway. “Gomen.” She nearly whispered.
The door opened with a quiet “swish” and Hiead immediately looked up behind Teara. He snarled as he saw Roose with a deep blush across his face.
“Gomen…” He said quickly before turning around.
Teara was about to get up and run after Roose but felt Hiead pull her back to his chest. “R-Roose.” She said.
“He’ll get over it.” Hiead said. He kissed her neck and rubbed his hands up and down her thighs.
“I can’t Hiead.” Teara said as Hiead reached up and pulled down her uniform to her waist.
“Why not?” He asked barely listening as he sucked on one of her full breasts and rubbing the other.
Teara let out a small groan. “B-because. What if we’re caught?” She managed as she felt an uncomfortable wetness between her legs.
“They’ll leave if they see us.” Hiead said pulling his mouth away from her breast for that split second.
Teara closed her eyes and moved her hips. “W-what if A-Azuma walks in?” She asked.
Hiead didn’t answer this time knowing very well that Teara was just buying time to let her mind catch up to what was happening. He moved his mouth away from her breast and planted butterfly kisses all the way up her chest, to her neck, and to her mouth kissing it hungrily. He pulled the rest of Teara’s suit off and caressed her body as he worked on taking off his own.
Once naked she felt slightly embarrassed. “Um…just in case some one walks in again…can we do this under the covers?” She asked nervously with a blush forming on her face.
Hiead grumbled and stood up taking Teara with him. He finished taking off his suit revealing tan skin before pulled back his blankets and lying on the bed taking Teara with him. He pulled the blankets back over them both. “Happy?” He grouched.
Teara nodded faintly as her bare chest touched Hiead’s. She felt her nipples erect when they brushed against Hiead’s surprisingly soft skin.
“Good. No more interruptions.” Hiead said before pressing his arousal in between Teara’s legs.
Teara could feel the size of Hiead, which made her turn redder.
Hiead smiled at the look on Teara’s face. He moved his hips back and forth and felt it slide with ease from Teara’s love juices. “You can’t tell me you don’t want this.” He said looking Teara deep into her red eyes that were as red as her face. He crawled over her on all fours and slowly directed his self into her. He smiled at the tight fit. “A virgin are we?”
Teara blushed even more if possible. “Um…well…I wanted to save myself for the right person.” She said quietly obviously embarrassed.
Hiead stopped for a second. She’s giving herself up for me? That can’t be good. He thought with a surprised look.
Teara saw the expression on Hiead’s face. “Oh no. Don’t take it the wrong way. I don’t expect you to won’t to marry me or anything.” She said quickly.
Hiead focused his eyes on hers and saw the hurt trying to hide behind determination. “And why not?” He asked forcing his self in the rest of the way.
Teara threw her head back in a mixture of pain and pleasure. “You’re not like that.” She said with her head thrown back and her eyes closed.
“How do you know what I’m like miss telepathic.” Hiead said.
Teara looked into Hiead’s crimson eyes. She had forgotten about her EX completely and only then did Hiead’s thoughts rush into her head. “You’re confused.” She said. “You don’t know what you feel right now.”
Hiead smiled a bit. “You don’t either.” He said. He looked at Teara’s surprised expression. “Don’t ask. I just know.”
Teara nodded. “Um…” She said looking over to the side.
“Don’t worry I didn’t forget.” Hiead said. He moved his hips back and forth with hard thrusts making Teara move under him. He felt as Teara moved her hips to the rhythm with his.

Hours had passed until Hiead finally collapsed half on the mattress and half on Teara. He panted hard before rolling over completely on his back and off Teara. He pulled her close and breathed in the deep sent of her hair as she curled up to his chest, tangling their legs together.
Teara didn’t know what to say. She didn’t want to ruin the one moment when Hiead looked peaceful.
“Victoria.” Hiead said breaking the silence. “You’re mine now. While I’m fucking you no one else is.”
Teara looked up at him with eyes filled with lust. “Really?” She asked bringing the rash tone Hiead was using and turning it into a peaceful one.
“If anyone is to touch you I am to hear about it immediately got it?” Hiead said as he put an arm under Teara’s head.
“Got it.” Teara said with a smile. She closed her eyes and snuggled closer to him. She didn’t have to tell him she knew he cared about her even though he tried making his words sound harsh did she?
Of course not.
Teara knew even the coldest of people had emotions. People like Hiead for example stored his away…and she broke him…she made him shed Dragon Tears.
