I CARE FOR YOU

Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,

Greetings on Canada Day! It is partly cloudy here this morning with just

a little wind. The temperature is great now but it will get warmer this

afternoon. I woke up refreshed after a great night's sleep. I will go to

the Manor this afternoon to visit my mother and to celebrate the Holy

Eucharist with the residents.

Jesus spoke to me in prayer this morning. This is what He said, "Melvin,

I love you. As the Son of God I hold you in the palm of my hand. I

provide for all your needs for My Father has created everything in the

world for your use. There are so many people who worry and are full of

fear of the future. They live as if everything depended on them. Don't

you know that I love you? Are you not convinced yet that I am in charge?

See the birds, the trees, the grass and the flowers how beautiful these

things are. They have everything they need because I take care of them.

You are much more important than the birds, the trees and the flowers.

You are members of my own family. I take special care of you all every

day. Trust in me and peace will come upon you. Do not worry about

tomorrow or what will happen in the future but feel safe close to me.

Put your faith and confidence in me and you will walk in my light. Those

who prefer the darkness will stumble but you who trust in me will avoid

the pitfalls because I will lead you. Place your heart in mine and

express your love to me often during the day. I am living in your heart

all the time, so come to visit me there and speak to me. Give me your

burdens and problems and I will help you. I am your brother and Saviour

who cares for you. I bless you."

Many people are burdened and tense because they allow problems and

difficulties to crush them. They carry these heavy burdens alone and

they are too much for them. Jesus is telling us this morning to trust in

Him and He is very near to us. Let us share these loads with Him and we

will be able to breath again. We believe in God but so often we think

that He cannot be bothered with us who are not worth much. For Jesus

every human person is worth more than the whole world. We are made in

the image and likeness of God and Jesus calls us His brothers and

sisters. We belong to His family. The Blessed Virgin Mary is Our Mother.

Let us put our trust in Him. Let us realize that we are not alone. Jesus

has wide shoulders and He can carry our load for us. Let us ask Him for

His help. Jesus cares for each one of us for He is the man for others.

His love for us is everlasting but He does not force Himself, He simply

invites us to open our heart to Him. Let us place all our confidence in

Him.

May the Lord brighten our day today and fill us with His peace.
