I  SUFFER  ALL  THIS  FOR  YOU

Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Greetings on this beautiful sunny day! We had a nice day yesterday and
it will be even better today. As our parish priest is going away this
weekend, I will have a wedding and all the Masses at the parish. I've
been preparing for all this during the last few days.

In my prayer with Jesus this morning, He spoke to me saying, "Melvin,
come and join me as I carry my cross to Calvary. I need your help to
carry this cross. I feel so weak after the night of torture. I am
bleeding all over my body from the scourging. Blood is flowing into my
eyes from the wounds on my head from the crown of thorns. I am suffering
this awful pain for every one of you, my brothers and sisters. Because
of your sins, I am on my way to be crucified and die a horrible death. I
accept my cross so that you can be redeemed. I am paying the price for
your sins so that you can become the beloved children of the Father.
Spend time with me today in my sufferings. Resolve, my dear friends, to
turn to me and amend your lives. Do penance and fast for your sins and
receive absolution. If you are sorry I will take all your sins away.
Receive too the strength from me to avoid sin in the future. Take up
your cross and come and follow me. I am the only one who can save you
for I am your Saviour. Help me, all of you, to carry my cross.
Everything you do today, do it in my name and it will be a great help to
me. It is out of love that I suffer all this for you. I bless you all."

What sorrow filled my heart to see Jesus in such terrible suffering. He
had no strength left to carry the cross and we know that He fainted
three times on the way. He had lost much blood from all the cuts on His
body and what great pain the crown of thorns must have caused Him. No
one seemed to care whether He lived or died except His Mother. Let us
with our prayers and good deeds come close to Him and show Him our
love. After all, it is for us that He suffered and died. He has no anger
or resentment against us but compassion and love. He calls us to live in
the power of His grace and to take up our cross and follow Him. Let us
spend time with Him in contemplative prayer and live with Him the
experience of Good Friday.

Please pray for the sick, especially the lady who came to see me
yesterday and the one who will come today. Pray that the Lord will touch
them and heal them.

May the suffering Jesus bring us close to Him and fill our hearts with
love.

Father Melvin
