WITH ME YOU WILL FIND PEACE AND JOY

Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,

Good morning! It rained overnight and it is dark and wet today. We can take a wet day after the beautiful sunny day of yesterday. I had the visit of a sick person yesterday and I prayed with her and I ask you all to pray for B. This morning I will be in Alberton for the celebration of the Holy Eucharist at 9:00 AM. I got up at 5:30 in order to be able to pray and have my 30 minutes of contemplative prayer and write the message before I leave for Mass. I spent my prayer time with Jesus who spoke again about the youth.

He said: "Melvin, I love you. Open your heart to receive me and I will bless you. There is no greater beauty than a youth who has great love for me. That young person will be opened to others and will always be ready to help. He or she will not be self-centered or proud or a show-off. Such a youth will be concerned with helping the family and will listen to his or her parents. This person will seek advice from parents and friends and will be ready to follow what he or she is told. A youth with faith in me and exercising that faith will be guided by me. He or she will not depart far from the true path that I will point out. In union with me, this young person will live in peace and joy. I know all about youth and the problems they necessarily go through, for I was a youth myself. I lived my youth in close union with my Father and I cherished my family ties. There is a place for me in the heart of every youth and how I desire to occupy this place. With me they will walk in the light and I will give them an abundance of grace to avoid evil and to follow the commandments. Today I call all the youth to come to me and live in union with me. Too many youthful lives are lost by following the attractions of the world. With me all youth will be safe and they will find that joy and peace they crave for. I love you all." Yes, Jesus was a youth Himself. He lived in Nazareth until He was 30 years of age. We do not have much information in the Bible concerning these years except the time His parents lost Him in Jerusalem when He was 12 years of age. Today He tells us that He lived His youth in close union with His Father. This is very important for everyone of us. We all have to live close to God especially close to Jesus, our Lord and friend. He loves all youth and He reminds us that there is a place in the heart of every youth for Him. May the youth of today invite Jesus to enter their heart and live with them. He is our greatest friend and He is a good guide too. No one can make it on his own, but with Jesus we can succeed. He will give us the graces we need to follow Him . May the Lord bless all youth and also those who are not so young .
