SALVATION IS ONLY FROM JESUS

Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,

Good morning on this sunny Saturday, the day of Our Lady. I woke up
refreshed after a deep night's sleep. The sun is shinning but there are
clouds too this morning. I led my small sharing group last night as we
discussed and prayed for the poor in our midst and in the world. I felt
tired as I am not completely adjusted yet to the time change from Italy
to
Prince Edward Island.

In my prayer this morning I was with Jesus and Mary. I was first with
Jesus
who spoke saying, "Melvin, I am here with you and I love you. I bless
you
with strength and peace. Let us go to visit Our Mother this morning." I
agreed wholeheartedly and Jesus took me to her home. Our Blessed Mother
greeted us and brought us inside and after we sat down, she began to
speak
saying, "Jesus and Melvin, welcome to my home. My heart is filled with
joy
at your visit. Melvin, my priest-son, you come to visit me with Jesus
on the
day the Church honours me. Today I am sad for the world. Dark clouds
are
gathering in the East and it does not look good for the world. Much
suffering and even death will result from this. The people do not heed
my
words. I call them now to listen and act on the words I address to them
today. What good is it to accu- mulate wealth on earth or to desire
selfish
pleasures that are contrary to my Son's explicit teachings? Why do you
remain in opposition to Jesus, my Son, who died such a cruel death for
you?
Wake up before it is too late! Get rid of your life of sin and return
to
Jesus, your re- deemer and friend, now. Are you not concerned that
these
dark clouds are approaching? Return to Jesus and to His Church, to the
sacraments, especially penance and the Eucharist and to prayer.
Salvation
comes only from Jesus. He is the "Sun" that can chase those dark clouds
away. Do not delay. I bless you all my dear children."

Our Lady's appeal sounds more and more urgent. This is because we are
so
slow to respond, we wish to follow our old ways for another day still;
but
she says we have to change NOW. She talks about the "dark clouds" on
the
horizon in the East where the trouble is at this time. The Americans
and
British are bombing Afghanistan but there are demons- trations in many
other
countries. The war against terrorism will spread and no one knows where
it
will end. The words of Our Blessed Mother are clear: we all have to
repent
and build up our relationship with Jesus. These are the weapons she
gives us
to overcome these "dark clouds." Let us not hate anyone but let us
follow
Jesus by loving every person. He even prayed for His killers from the
cross.
Let us accept the teachings of the Church and come to receive the
sacraments
regularly again. Jesus is the one who saves and this is the meaning of
His
name. He alone can save us if we turn to Him. This is our wake up call
today
from Our Lady. She knows what is best for us, her children.

As my Parish Priest is gone to St. Anne de Beaupre, I will have all the
Masses at the Immaculate Conception Parish, Palmer Road, this weekend.
I
will give thanks at all these celebrations of the Holy Eucharist for
the
10-day pilgrimage to Italy which was such a grace for me. Jesus and Our
Lady
were with us all the way and this is why it went so well. May the Lord
give
you all the grace of repentance and may you all live in deep friendship
with
Him. May Our Lady protect you from all harm.

Father Melvin Doucette (62 years of age) was born in Prince Edward
Island,
Canada. He was ordained 33 years ago for the Missionaries of Africa,
spending 29 years in Africa. Known as a Healing Priest, Father Doucette
is
at home in Palmer Road Parish (near Tignish, PEI) at this time. He is
in
good standing with both his bishop in Africa and the local bishop.
Father
began contemplating about 24 years ago and has had locutions in the
present
form for the last three years. He also had them in Jerusalem during a
30-day
retreat in 1990, where he first experienced the full suffering of
Jesus. Not
a stigmata but a re- experiencing of Christ's entire passion "from the
Agony
in the Garden right through to His death on the cross and the
Resurrection".
Now every Holy Week he experiences the same thing.

Father Doucette wrote: "On April 21, 2001, Mary appeared to me for the
third
time. She spoke these words, "I am very pleased, Melvin, that many
people
read about your prayer each morning. Jesus and I bless all those who
take to
heart what we communicate to you... ... Melvin, I cannot end this
conversation without mentioning my great desire to have a Shrine built
in my
honour in Prince Edward Island. This is the great longing of my heart.
When
this Shrine is built, my children will come in great numbers to visit
it, to
pray, and to ask for my help. I will bless all those who will come to
honour
me and to express their love. Jesus, Who is enthroned in all Shrines,
will
shower His gift of grace on all. His grace will be fruitful by many
conversions, increase of faith, and return to the Church. He will give
the
gift of peace to all those who come with a sincere heart. ... ... It
will be
my special home where I will welcome all those who will come to visit
me.

Melvin, I am the Lady of Prince Edward Island as the picture I asked
you to
have painted testifies. As you clearly saw in the vision I gave you,
the
picture shows me standing on a piece of land in the shape of the
Island.
This picture is dear to my heart. Have photo- graphs made, and may all
the
homes on the Island and off the Island display this painting. As a
priest,
you blessed the original painting, and I, in turn, will bless all the
homes
where this image of mine is honoured."
