I LOVE YOU AS THE APPLE OF MY EYE

Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,

Good morning on this day we remember the Resurrection of Our Lord. It
is now
7:30 a.m. and it is still very dark. I don't know if we will get rain
but it
looks like it. I feel rested and I think that the jet lag is over. I
will
celebrate the Holy Eucharist at Miminegash and Palmer Road churches
this
morning and I will go to Kensington this afternoon for a meeting of our
Cursillo group to prepare for next month's week- end.

At prayer this morning Jesus spoke saying, "Melvin, my companion and
friend,
I love you. Keep your heart open that I may enter as I wish and make my
home
there. Today you remember my resurrection from the dead, my triumph
over
evil. With my help you and all who believe in me can also triumph over
evil
and sin. At this time the world is going through a period of trial, of
suffering. It has brought this upon itself by associating with the evil
one.
He is the cause of this period of darkness, of hatred and of war. Let
my
light penetrate into the world to chase away the darkness. All you who
are
my friends, flee to the safety of my sacred heart. I will protect you
there
during these trials. Call all your friends and neighbours to return to
me
and follow me. Pray and fast with a sincere heart and come repent of
your
sins and receive me in holy communion. Woe to those people and nations
who
do not heed my call. Remember always my words: Ask and you shall
receive ...
Be ready to help the people to revive their faith and come to love me.
I am
waiting for their return. Pray for the conversion of the peo- ples of
the
world for the vast majority are far from me. I love you as the apple of
my
eye."

Jesus is clear that He needs our help for the conversion of the world.
We
are to help people by speaking to them about the call from Jesus to
repent
and return to Him. We also have to pray for them. Let us pray the
rosary
every day for that intention. We should also pray for peace. God is the
giver of peace. Some are organizing marches for peace but they leave
God
out. Our schools are doing the same and I feel that this is a wasted
effort.
We cannot acquire peace on our own efforts. Jesus is the prince of
peace and
He will give us peace if we sincerely ask Him for it. May the Lord
bless you
all and keep you in His Heart today and every day.
