I CHERISH YOU ALL

Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,

Greetings on this dark and wet morning! I was very tired yesterday due 
to
jet lag. However, I had all the Masses at Palmer Road and Miminegash
Churches and in the afternoon I went to Kensington for the preparation
meeting for Cursillo. The various teams are well on their way in their
preparation for the weekend. A hurricane is approaching Nova Scotia and 
it
will brush P.E.I. today. I pray that the wind will soon die down 
especially
in the Halifax and Yarmouth Dioceses.

I spent a half hour with Jesus this morning in contemplative prayer. I 
was
with Jesus the whole time and He spoke to me saying, "Melvin, I love 
you and
you are my friend. Come and live in my heart today. My heart is very 
large
and I can put all my friends in it. May our rela- tionship grow every 
day
like the climber who advances with every step closer to the summit. I 
am
always ready to help you if you call upon me. Come close to me, Melvin 
and
you my friends, as I experience great sadness for the world. Sin is
everywhere and you know that sin only leads to death. Pride and 
arrogance
have caused so many people to turn away from me. They can return if 
they
follow the way of humility, penance, obedience and love. All should 
know
that they cannot save themselves but they need to be humble and submit 
to me
their Saviour. They have to repent of all their sins and come to me in 
the
Sacrament of Penance to have their sins absolved. All have to obey the
teachings of the Catholic Church, my Church built upon the Apostles. If 
they
want to be followers of mine, they have to love God with all their 
hearts
and love their neighbours as themselves. All have to be transformed by 
my
Spirit and come to imitate me. Pray that all the people will cooperate 
with
the graces I am giving them. Make a list and pray for three different
persons every day. Offer your whole day for them. In this way you will 
be
cooperating with me for their salvation. Remember all you who live in 
my
heart, I cherish you all."

Today Jesus is drawing us more and more to Himself. He wants us all in 
His
heart for He loves us. It is His way to deepen our relationship with 
Him. He
is also calling us to work together with Him for the sal- vation of the
world. We are part of His plan for the salvation of the world. Jesus 
does
not deal with the masses of people but deals with us individually. That 
is
why He wants us to do the same. Let us have a list of relatives and 
friends
and let us offer each day to 3 persons in turn. We offer all our 
prayers and
sufferings for them that they may cooperate with the graces Jesus is 
giving
them. If each person would have a list of about 300 people, soon we 
would be
praying for millions of people. Remember prayers are powerful and they 
can
change the world. Do not forget to pray the rosary every day for these
people on your list. Jesus calls us today to be humble as He is, to do
penance for our sins, to obey the Church, and to love God and our 
neighbour
and, of course, to pray. I pray that the Lord will put you all in His 
Heart
today and that you will remain there forever.
