LIVE IN MY HEART THROUGH THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT

Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,

Good morning to you and all! What a beautiful sunny day the Lord is 
giving
us here on the Island! The sun is streaming into the room as I write 
this
and it is very calm outside. It is a perfect Autumn day. I have almost
finished reading all of the 73 e-mail letters I found in my box when I
arrived back from Italy. They come from all over and I thank all those 
who
wrote to me. Many have also phoned me telling me of the power of prayer 
in
their lives. Some are free of paralyzing fear, others of terrible pain 
and
many are turning to the Lord in prayer and going back to Church. Others 
are
asking for prayers for sick ones and for problems at home. Let us 
continue
our prayers for the conversion of the world.

On this bright morning, I was with Jesus in prayer and He spoke to me
saying, "Melvin, I embrace you, I love you. Continue to live in my 
heart
with all my friends. You know that at Pentecost, the Father and I sent 
the
Holy Spirit upon the earth. He came first upon My Blessed Mother and 
the
Apostles. They were filled with the Holy Spirit and spoke in strange
tongues. Their fear was gone and they went out to boldly proclaim the 
Good
News. Today, too, the Holy Spirit is working throughout the world in 
the
hearts of many people to bring them to me. He is also working in your 
heart
and in the hearts of all who believe in me. Welcome Him and allow Him 
to
work in your heart. He is the God of holiness and He will bring about 
your
sanctification. The Holy Spirit will teach you in my name and He will
enlighten you concerning your way of life. He will give you the 
strength to
follow me and to avoid evil. He will strengthen you to carry your cross
which refers to the sufferings of life and the trials of today. Say 
this
short prayer often:

O Holy Spirit come and live in my heart, help me to follow Jesus and to
reach heaven.

Brothers and sisters, come and live in my heart in the power of the 
Holy
Spirit. I love you all."


We, who are baptized and confirmed, have received the Holy Spirit in 
our
hearts. He lives there if we have not chased Him away by commit- ting
serious sin. He will return if we repent and promise never to sin 
again. The
Holy Spirit makes us holy and helps us to become saints if we cooperate 
with
Him. We receive all the help and strength we need from Him. We cannot 
go
very far on our own. We need Him in order to accomplish any good. Let 
us be
humble and rely on Him. He will give us the power to do what we thought
impossible. Like Jesus, the Holy Spirit is our great friend too. He is 
the
Third Person of the Blessed Trinity. He is also Love. In Him Jesus 
becomes
alive and our hearts burn for Him. Let this fire that comes from the 
Holy
Spirit enkindle the hearts of all the people in the world. Let us 
praise God
for His goodness to us. May the Lord bless you and may Our Lady pray 
for you
all.
