LIVE YOUR LIFE WITH ME
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Greetings on this Friday when we remember the Passion of Our Lord. It is
still dark as I write this but I think we will have a nice day. I will
go to Bloomfield Parish for the celebration of the Holy Eucharist at
9:30 AM today. So, I had to get up early to have my half hour with
Jesus.
As I began my contemplative prayer, Jesus spoke to me saying, "Melvin,
Melvin, I am here tied to the pillar. Pontius Pilate has just ordered
the
soldiers to flog me. They are preparing their whips with their lead
tips. Here they come now. Stay with me as I go through this terrible
torture. Oh! the pain as the whips dig into my flesh. I will moan at
times from the blows on my back. I accepted each of these blows for you
and every person in the world. AH! I am suffering to pay the price for
all your sins. See how terrible your sins are that they have caused me
so much pain. The two that are wielding the whips are putting all their
strength and my body shutters from the sharp pain. I am bleeding all
over as the lead in the tips tear the skin open. OH the pain I feel. I
am getting weak from all these blows. I am about to faint from all this.
Melvin, you and all the people should be the ones being whipped because
of your sins but I have taken your place. I will suffer and die instead
of you. Through this scourging, I call you, my brothers and sisters,
turn your life around, repent of your sins and accept my Gospel that I
give you. Let my light penetrate your hearts and minds. Live your life
now with me. I am your dying Saviour who loves you with all my heart. I
bless you."
Jesus shared a part of His Passion with me again today. In the
scourging, Jesus received more than 40 lashes of the whip. He was beaten
almost to death. However, He could not die there as He had to be nailed
to the cross. After the whipping, Jesus was bleeding all over His body.
His back, His arms, His legs, everywhere, there were cuts from this
terrible beating. Jesus was innocent for He never committed a sin but He
suffered all this for you and me. Can we remain indifferent and cold
after all He went through for us? He calls us to turn our life around
and to come and live with Him.
Let us open our heart and He will come and live there with us. Let us
keep Jesus company today, the day we remember His great sacrifice for
us.
