I WANT TO BE YOUR FRIEND FOREVER
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Greetings on this beautiful sunny morning after the rain of the night!
I had
a busy day yesterday with the long session at Kensington and two
meetings in
Palmer Road in the evening. I slept very well and feel refresh on this
bright morning. I will attend the funeral this morning at 10:30 of my
friend
and I will celebrate the Holy Eucharist at the Manor this afternoon.
In my peaceful and joyful meeting with Jesus this morning, He spoke to
me
saying, "Melvin, my brother, I love you. I bring you up into the
mountains
today to enjoy the view. All this beauty comes from my Father, who
created
it all. See the valley with its stream and admire the colours of the
trees.
Look at the birds as they sing and fly about. All this beauty is bathe
by
the sun and gives joy to the whole of creation. My Father has made all
this
for you and all my brothers and sisters living in all parts of the
world. He
made it all out of love for His children. Yet today many parts of the
world
are disfigured by war, hatred, greed and pride. The world in all its
grandeur can provide for all its citizens and could feed and care for
twice
the population if all would apply themselves, use their gifts, and
share
among them- selves. I call you all to live a simple life in union with
me.
Use the things of the world in moderation and there will be enough for
every- one. Do not waste or destroy what your Father has given you.
Develop
the gifts of the spirit of wonder and awe at the beauty of creation and
know
that the Father loves you tenderly. I love you and I want to be your
friend
forever."
I am so full of joy after this half hour with Jesus. The beauty of the
world
fills me with great wonder. Let us say "thank you" to Jesus and the
Father
for the marvels they have given us. In the Northern coun- tries during
this
time of year, the scenery is very beautiful with all the trees dressed
in
gold, red, yellow and various shades of these. Our spirit is made for
beauty
which brings delight to our heart. There is nothing more peaceful than
to
spent time in nature to admire what the Lord has done. We know that all
these things come from Him and they show us the greatness and the
beauty of
God Himself. I feel Jesus is calling us to go out this week and enjoy a
ride
in the countryside and enjoy nature. See the goodness of God and praise
Him
with songs and hymns. The Lord is alive and He wants to be our friend
forever. May the Lord fill you with wonder and awe at His goodness for
He
has done all things well.
