I  GIVE  YOU  MY  PEACE

Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Greetings in the Lord! The sun is shining bright this morning and the
wind has died down but it is colder than the past few days. I was in
Tignish yesterday for the two celebrations of the Holy Eucharist and
last evening I was at Palmer Road Church for confessions. We had the
confessions of those preparing for confirmation together with some of
their parents. Today I will go to Alberton for Holy Mass with the
residents of the Manor and have a visit with my mother.

Jesus took me to visit the Father during my 30 minute contemplative
prayer this morning. As I began Jesus spoke saying, "Melvin, my friend,
I love you. Let us go and visit Our Father in heaven." I agreed filled
with joy and Jesus took me to His throne in heaven. We climbed the large
staircase up to the huge throne and I knelt before Him in adoration. The
Father spoke to us saying, "Bless you Jesus and Melvin and come and sit
beside me. Jesus, my beloved Son, your sacrifice for the redemption of
all the people of the world is always before me. I thank you for your
love. Melvin, my dear son, I created you and you live in my love. I
address you, Melvin, and all my sons and daughters who live in the
world. Remember I take care of you every day. I have spread many
wonderful gifts among you in order to build up your communities. Be
mindful that Jesus is your Saviour. Come to know Him, believe in Him and
follow Him with all your heart. As you are about to enter the season of
Advent to prepare for the feast of the birth of my Son, repent of your
sins and renew your love and attachment to your Redeemer. He will bless
you with peace and joy if you serve Him. This is a time to pray more and
to come closer to me, your Father, and Jesus, your Brother. Visit the
sick, the elderly and the lonely. Be a friend to all those who suffer.
In this way you will be acting according to the heart of Jesus. Pray, my
children, for the conversion of sinners and unbelievers that they may
return to me. I give you my peace."

The Heavenly Father's love for us is eternal. That is why He sent His
only Son to live among us to teach us the way of the Father and to die
for us on the cross. We live always in God's Providence who wants always
the best for us, His children. Advent will soon start and the Father
asks us to prepare ourselves for the great feast of Christmas that is
approaching. Let us renew our love for Him and for Jesus and let us take
to heart His advice to pray more and to help all those who suffer.
Yesterday, the Gospel at Mass taught us that if we help our suffering
brothers and sisters, we are serving Jesus for He has identified Himself
with anyone who suffers. This is the time to be more faithful to
contemplative prayer in order to build up a strong bond of love with
Jesus.

Again I ask you to pray for Wayne and Michelle and also for my mother
who does not walk anymore.

May we remember every day that we have a Father in heaven who loves us
and takes care of us.
