LET  LOVE  REIGN  AMONG  YOU

Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Greetings on this beautiful Friday morning! The sun is shining in a
clear sky and there is no wind. It is cool this morning but I imagine it
will be warm later on. Thank you Lord for taking care of us every day.

During my prayer, Jesus spoke to me about His grandparents. He spoke
saying, "Melvin, I love you. Today we are celebrating the Feast of my
Grandparents, Joachim and Anne. They lived in Jerusalem, very near to
the Temple. In honouring my grandparents, I honour all the grandparents
of the world. You had the privilege, Melvin, to live for three months at
St. Anne's in Jerusalem, in the very home where my Mother was born. I
stayed there too when I was young. I came to Jerusalem every year after
my 12th birthday with my parents and we stayed at my grandparents' home.
Many people have a devotion to my grandmother and they prepare for her
feast with a novena. Joachim and Anne were holy people waiting for me,
the promised Redeemer. They were destined to give birth to my Mother,
who is known as full of grace. My dear friends, cherish your family and
love your grandparents. Pray for them that they may always be close to
me. I desire to give them all the gifts of peace and joy. As
grandparents they love all their grandchildren and they will often pray
for them. Today too many grandparents are forgotten and neglected. I
want them to be an integral part of the family. Let love reign among
you. I bless you all."

Jesus loves His grandparents and honours them today on their feast day.
It is a great honour for Joachim and Anne to have a grandchild who is
the Son of God. They were chosen by God Himself to bring into the world
the most holy human being ever to live in this world, the Blessed Virgin
Mary, the Mother of God. Let us honour them too and let us pray for our
grandparents whether they are living or not. For a family to live in
peace and joy, all the members including the grandparents have to be an
integral part of it.

Let us honour St. Joachim and St. Anne today and ask them to pray for
us.
