I  LOVE  YOU

Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Good afternoon! I am home! I arrived back last evening after a wonderful
8 days in the USA. I thank the Lord for all the good people I met on
this trip. Amanda, Ceo and I stayed in Mexico, Maine, both on our way
going and coming back from Connecticut. I was also able to visit with my
second cousin who lives there. Our visit to Stratford, Ct. was
exceptionally good. I saw all my four first cousins and their spouses
and many other people as well. I celebrated Mass at St. Mark's in
Stratford and gave a talk about contemplative prayer afterwards. I spent
the weekend at My Father's House in Moodus, Ct. The retreat started on
Friday evening and ended on Sunday afternoon around 3:00 pm. On Saturday
more than 100 people attended. Although I was tired after this very busy
weekend, I was happy with how smoothly it went. I am invited to go back
again next year.

In my prayer today, Jesus spoke to me saying, "Melvin, my brother, I
love you. You are home from your trip to Maine and Connecticut. I was
with you every day and I protected you. That is why everything went so
well. I bless all the people who helped you in any way especially all
your cousins and friends. I am pleased that more people now know about
contemplative prayer and many of these will read the book and begin
praying in this way. You know, Melvin, that this is my favourite prayer.
By contemplating every day they will become my close friends. How I wish
that more people would develop a close relationship with me and receive
the strength to follow the path I traced out for them. Many are
searching for me but unfortunately too many are looking for me in the
wrong places. My dear brothers and sisters come to me in prayer and
believe that I am there with you. If you spend time regularly with me,
you heart would be changed for the better. You would be filled with my
Spirit and your life would be closely united with mine. Your heart was
made for me and you will only find peace when your heart rests in me.
Do not be afraid for I love you. I bless you all."

It is over a week since I last sent you a message. During that time I
contemplated every day, but it is not easy to find the time to send you
the messages. In today's message, Jesus calls us all to contemplation,
the prayer so dear to His heart. He never tires to tell us how He
desires this intimate friendship with each one of us. Many of you bought
the book "The Art of Contemplative Prayer" and I would recommend that
you read it again in order to refresh your memory about this prayer. If
you have not yet started contemplating, then read the book and begin
praying in this way for at least 20 minutes a day. It takes some days to
be at ease in this prayer. Put your faith into practice and know that
Jesus is with you and focus only on Him by repeating the name of Jesus.
Let Him fill you with His peace, love and joy. Jesus is our great friend
and He wants you to visit Him often to build up a strong friendship.

May the Lord bless you all and fill you with His peace.
