BE ALIVE IN THE SPIRIT
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Good morning on this cool and cloudy day! There is no wind and the sea
is calm just perfect for a boat ride. I was in Alberton twice yesterday:
for Holy Mass at the parish at 9:00 AM and at the Manor in the evening
visiting my mother with my brother from Hamilton. I will have all the
Masses at Alberton Parish this weekend as the Parish Priest is gone to
Toronto for the World Youth Day.
As I came to prayer early this morning, Jesus spoke to me saying,
"Melvin, my brother, I love you. Let us go and visit Our Mother." I
agreed and Jesus took me to her home. She greeted us saying, "Welcome
Jesus and Melvin. Come in and have a seat. Great joy fills my heart to
see you, Jesus, my Son. Melvin, Jesus' friend, welcome to your mother's
home. The centre of the Church these days is Toronto where the youth
have gathered in the hundreds of thousands for the World Youth Day.
Jesus is present there and I am there too. Pray for the success of these
last days of the youth meeting in Toronto gathered with the Pope and
many bishops and priests. These days strengthen the faith of the young
and bring them close to Jesus. The youth days can also enliven the faith
of the Christians of the whole church. The youth are not in Toronto for
any material reason but to express their faith and show their love to
their Saviour. They give a great example to all the youth of the world.
They are also an inspiration to every Christian. Live your faith with
enthusiasm and great love. Walk with Jesus every day and show Him your
love by a heart to heart prayer and by doing good every day. Be alive in
the Spirit. I bless you all."
Our Lady was very joyful today as she expressed her satisfaction with
the World Youth Day taking place in Toronto this week. The youth are
very enthusiastic and giving a good example to all. There were about
400,000 present on Thursday to greet the Pope and they come from all
over the world. Our Lady calls us to be full of life as these young
people. Let us walk hand in hand with Jesus and remain close to Him
through prayer and good works.
Let us continue to pray for the success of the youth gathering in
Toronto.
