YOU NEED ME
Dear Paul, Rita and Friends,
Greetings on this partly cloudy morning. What a beautiful day we had
yesterday! The month of August has been just super.
My two sisters from Montreal arrived last evening to be with my mother
for a few days. They went straight to Alberton to see her on arrival.
I was with the suffering Jesus in my prayer this morning. He spoke
saying, "Melvin, come here close to me as I hang on the cross close to
death. They have crucified me, their Saviour, and I am about to die in
great suffering. In this horrible pain and torture, I am wiping away all
your sins. Be with me during these last moments. Let my blood flow all
over you to wash you clean. Read Psalm 22 today, my friends, and listen
to my cry in great agony for the hearts of all my brothers and sisters.
Here are my words today from the cross: I am about to die out of love
for each one of you. I willingly suffer for you that you may become my
intimate friend. I desire your salvation. Will you answer my call today?
Will you be my companion every day and walk with me? I am in great pain
today until you have submitted to me and offered yourself totally to me.
I detest sin in all its form. Open your heart to accept my grace today
and resist all evil. Contemplate me in my last agony and may a bond of
deep friendship grow between us. You need me, your Redeemer. I came into
the world for you and I die for you. I love you."
Jesus calls us to Himself today as He hangs on the cross. Let us take
time to contemplate Him in His suffering. He is the Son of God dying for
us. As Our Redeemer, He has the right to call us and teach us. What is
our response to Him? Let us love Him with all our heart.
I will soon leave for Charlottetown to keep my appointment with the
Specialist. My mother will need a blood transfusion today so she will be
transferred to the hospital for that. Thank you all very much for all
your prayers and messages.
May the Lord bless us all and strengthen us to do His will.
