A b s t a c t
This paper provides the results of a practical performance assessment in high
school.
The raw data has been adapted for the regular mid test materials from some high
schools located in the southwest of Seoul. Using the latest theories of language
testing, the purpose of this paper is to identify which parts of current performance
assessment threaten reliabilities and validities. The following discussion in
this paper is intended to reflect more current thinking about performance assessment,
because testing is one of the most important issues in Korean schools today.
The current test method was used through throughout Korea in the last year.
Thus it is important to check the reliability and validity of the results of
current high school regular tests. This paper will present some criteria of
testing and scores in high school as well as other researchers' criteria.
