Will 과 be going to

1. 다음 예문을 살펴봅시다.

     Mi-Rae:     It's my birthday soon. I'll be twenty next Friday.

     Aunt :        Oh, really? Are you going to have a party?

     Mi-Rae:    I'm going to have a meal in a restaurant with a few friends.

     Aunt :       That'll be nice.

     <Will>                                                                    <Be going to>

    Will 은 자연스러운 의미를 갖는 미래의                       이미 하기로 결정한 어떤 의도적인 사실에 관해서 
    어떤 사실에 관해서 말할 때 사용한다.                        말할 때 be going to를 사용한다.

    I'll be twenty next Friday.                                         We're going to have a meal.

    The spacecraft will come down in the                     Min-suk is going to sell his car.
    Pacific Ocean tomorrow morning.

   1) Will 은 의도를 나타낼 때 표현하지 않는다.

       It's her birthday. She's going to have a meal with her friends.  틀림) She'll have a meal.

   2) 하지만 의도를 나타낼 때 be going to를 자주 쓰고, 상세한 내용과 코멘트에 대해서는 will을 사용한다.

      We're all going to have a meal. There'll be about ten of us.  ~ Oh, that'll be nice.

   3) be going to 와 마찬가지로 현재진행형을 쓸 수 있다.

      We're going to drive/We're driving down to the South of France.  
      ~ That'll be a long journey.  ~ Yes, it'll take two days. We'll arrive on Sunday.


2. 결심과 의도

     <Will>                                                                       <Be going to> 

  무엇인가 하려고 즉각적인 결심이나 동의에                    이미 결심을 했다는 의미에서 be going to를 사용한다.
  대해서 will을 사용한다.

  There's a postbox over there. I'll post these letters.   I'm going out. I'm going to post these letters.

  You still haven't put those shelves up, Min-gu, ~      You still haven't put those shelves up, Min-gu,  ~
  OK, I'll do it tomorrow.                                                 konw. I'm going to do it tomorrow.

 Min-gu는 지금 결심중이다.                                           Min-gus는 이미 결심을 했다.

3. 예측

 미래에 대한 예측을 할 때 will을 사용한다.                        미래에 발생하려고 하는 것을 현재 상황에서 알고 있는
                                                                                     예측에 대해서 be going to를 사용한다.

 I think United will win the game.                                    There isn't a cloud in the sky. It's going to be a

One day people will travel to Mars.                                lovely day.

                                                                                     This bag isn't very strong. It's going to break.

하지만 보통은 예측에 대해서 양쪽 모두 가능하지만,  be going to 는 will 보다는 약간더 비공식적이고 대화적이다.
