THE BOOT The Sponsor of the previous Boot –or the King- decides numbers for the next boot with a roll of the dice. A Boot delayed is a Boot paid. The next to the last person to drink sponsors the Boot. When drunk, the Boot must be grasped with one hand, toe up. Anyone who abuses alcohol by spilling in any way becomes the sponsor of a round of Schnapps. After the Schnapps are consumed, the boot continues. Participants are allowed to drink as much or as little from the Boot as they desire The dice shall not be uncovered before the sole of the Boot is firmly rested on the bar again. Heckling of the drinking Bootist is permitted but no touching is allowed. An empty Boot will be verified by placing the sole of the drinking vessel against the wall with none of the precious liquid dripping on the floor. |
