The
DesktopDollars Bar is a piece of proprietary software that we have
developed to allow our members to get paid for being connected to
the Internet. It sits at either the top or bottom of your desktop
and displays banner ads, news headlines, and other cool stuff. All
you have to do to get started is download it, install it, and login.
It is as simple as that. We require
it to ensure to our advertisers that members aren't just starting
the DesktopDollars Bar and walking away from their computer. We
realize that we could have programmed it to log you off if your
mouse/keyboard hadn't been active in x minutes. However, there are
programs out there that can simulate mouse/keyboard movements, and
effectively cheat the DesktopDollars Bar. We do not think that this
would be fair to our advertisers, nor the members who use the DesktopDollars
Bar honestly. The activity light
in the lower left corner of the bar is green. Surfing
is defined as active use of the browser window. You do not have
to be surfing in order to get paid. You just have to be connected
to the Internet and logged into the DesktopDollars Bar. The
only thing that you have to do to stay active is to click the "Continue"
button every time it pops up (approximately every 15 to 25 minutes).
