Recca Hanabishi, first year student in high school. Just when he was a baby, he was sent to the present from 400 years in the past. Because he is a decendent of the Hokage Ninja, he has to natural ability to create flames from his arm. Because there is so much power within, Recca has to continually keep his wrist guard on, or else the flame would burn him alive. Recca symbolized the element fire.

Yanagi Sakoshita, first year student in high school. She is called "Princess" by Recca. Her natural ability is to heal other people's wounds. Because of her  power, she is sought after by Kouran Mori for evil purposes.

Tokiya Mikagami, second year student at the same high school as Recca. He uses the Madougu "Ensui." Because of Yanagi's similarity to his murdered sister, Tokiya wanted to take Yanagi from Recca. He thinks of Recca, Fuuko, and Domon as less worthy in skill than himself. He is very self assured. Tokiya symbolizes the element water.

Fuko Kirisawa, like Recca, she is a first year student in high school. She uses the Madougu, "Fuujin." Recca promised Fuuko that if she beats him sparring, she will be called "'Princess." She was not happy to learn that someone else got that title first. Definately someone you would not want to insult or piss off. Fuuko symbolizes the element wind.

Domon Ishijima, Recca's classmate. He uses the Madougu "Dosei no Wa." Recca sometimes calls Domon as Franken as in the Frankenstein's monster during their fights. Domon symbolizes the element earth.

Kaoru Koganei, once a member of "Uruha," but switched sides and became a member of Hokage. He uses the Madougu, "Kougonanki." Kaoru is very skilled for someone his age and often times insults people (i.e. Recca, Fuuko, and Domon.) Kaoru symbolizes the element metal.
