| Billy got out of the taxi, staring at the beautiful 16-year-old girl completely oblivious to his presence. She was sitting on the porch swing doing what appeared to be Algebra with headphones on her ears. Not wanting to startle her or disrupt her studies, he just left her be & entered the home. "MOM, DAD? You guys around?" The house was immaculate, as usual, it still stunned Billy how his mother could keep the house looking so clean even when there was a wild girl and 4 rambunctious boys running around. "Billy, how wonderful to see you!! We no 'spect you till tomorrow." Gina gave her youngest son a warm hug. All her boys looked like Charlie, but Billy beared the strongest resemblance to his father. Billy was anxious to see his father & then get over to The Havel's to see Becky & Ben. "Are you aware that you have a stunning sixteen year old girl loitering on your porch?" "Yes, I do. Hailey comes over here afterschool to study sometimes. She is growing to be quite a beauty, isn't she?" Billy nodded. After learning that his father wouldn't be home for a few hours, he put his bags in his old room. It still looked like it did when he & Doug shared it as boys. Billy decided to go see Becky, so he could be back when his Dad got back. "Mom, can I borrow your car? I want to go see Beck." "Sure, sweetie, it was always so hopeless trying to keep you two away from each other. You have been inseparable since you were babies. Have a good time, your father will be home at 5:30 & we will have dinner at 6pm." Billy smiled, some things never change. "Thanks, Mom. I will be back before Dad." He went out the back door to the garage. It felt really good to be home. |
