Tommy 15

Sam woke up to Tommy laying next to her with his arm propping up his head, he was staring at her with a huge smile on his face.  He had woken up about 5 minutes before & couldn't resist watching her sleep, she was so beautiful!  Only Sam's sleep wasn't peaceful, she was crying, just when Tommy was about to wake her up, she shook herself out of it. "Good Morning, Beautiful." Tommy cradled Sam's face with his left hand as he leaned over her, gently placing his lips on hers.  Electricity coursed through his body as the tip of her tongue touched his. She had never felt more loved by anyone.  There was something about being in Tommy's arms & hearing his voice that made her feel safe.  All the sudden it was like there wasn't another person in the world but the two of them.  As she laid in the comfort & supportive arms of the man she was falling more & more in love with, she told Tommy every detail of the last 2 years of her life & relationship with Derrick.  Tommy was extremely pissed that someone could even think of hurting Sam.  Tommy held onto Sam even tighter. He knew that she needed his support, so that is all he gave her.  But inside his blood was boiling, if Derrick ever got in his path he would regret ever laying a finger on his beautiful Samantha.  After she finished telling his about the last visit Tommy looked into her sad eyes, "Sam, I can promise you that I will never let him touch you again.  I really love you!  I know it hasn't been that long but I feel a connection with you but please tell me if that scares you or if it is too soon."  Tommy was afraid that after all she had been through she may not be ready for this. Sam interrupted him before he could go too far with his explanation, "Tommy, I love you too!  I don't feel like this is too soon.  I felt chemistry the minute I saw you.  Maybe all these years of me being a big fan of your dad's was fate's way of connecting us to each other." "Good Lord, Sam!!  My dad is probably worried.  He is here &" Tommy looks at his watch & realizes he is late to meet his dad. "What! Jeff Metcalf is here!!  Oh my Gosh, why didn't you say something, Tommy? We should go see him." Sam was so excited, as much as she liked to play the professional sports writer around athletes, she felt like a little girl again at the thought of meeting her idol.  As they left to go meet Jeff, all thoughts & worries about Derrick were washed away....for now.....
