Jeff & Ginger excused themselves to give Tommy privacy with Sam. They sat down on the porch swing.

Tommy turned to face Sam. "OK, Sam, my parents are gone. Please tell me why you didn't meet me after the game like we planned on? Did something happen with Derrick? I was sick with worry"

Sam leaned over & silenced Tommy with a very passionate kiss. When her lips finally parted from his she spoke. "Nothing happened. I have a surprise & I wanted to make sure everything was perfect first. Now it is."

"A surprise? For me? Tell me Sam!!" Tommy reached over & playfully began to tickle her stomach.

Sam was very ticklish but knew she wasn't caving in by telling him. She wanted to show him her new place. "I am going to go in & use the restroom. Then maybe we can go for a walk & you can show me your hometown?"

Tommy nodded. He was just happy to know Sam was ok.

Walking into the kitchen, Sam explained to Jeff & Ginger that Tommy was going to show her around town. She was going to tell him she moved here as they walked by her house. Jeff told her that was a great idea, as Ginger said for them to take their time. The whole family including the Haileys would be over in a few hours for a late barbecue, so they had plenty of time.

Tommy gave Sam the grand tour of River Run including Sloan Industries, Purl Roadhouse & Brandstaetters. On the way back to the Metcalf's, they turned down the block to Sam's new house.

Tommy pointed out the small tan 2-story house with white trim. It had a nice big yard & a beautiful front porch with pots of flowers on the porch. "That is where my brother Steve used to live before he & his family moved to Chicago a few months ago."

"What a darling house," Sam exclaimed. "Let's go look around!" She started up the walk.

Tommy tried to stop her. "Sam, it looks like someone lives here now."

"It looks like no one is here. I am sure they won't mind." Sam turned the front door knob she knew was unlocked. "The door is already unlocked."

"Sa.. SAM! We can't walk into someone's house" Tommy was horrified as he watched Samantha walk into the house, but he followed her inside. "We need to get out of here before these people come home." He grabbed her hand & turned for the door.

"Just being here with you alone, has me turned on." Sam ran her hand up the inside of Tommy's red & white striped shirt. "I didn't realize how much I missed being with you until just now."

Tommy had missed Sam something awful. He leaned down to capture her mouth with his; temporarily forgetting he was in a stranger's house. After her lips left his, he came back to his senses. "Sam, we have to go!"

Sam started to head for the stairs, "Are you saying you don't want me, Thomas Jeffrey Metcalf?" Sam put a fake pout on her face. She couldn't take it anymore. "Tommy?"

"Yes" Tommy said nervously

"The people who live here are home"

Tommy looked out the front door, but saw no one coming; he looked at Sam confused. He finally looked at the photos on the mantel. There were 3. One of Sam with her dad & Casey. One of Sam with Tommy & a copy of the photo he sent Alfred Rogersmith of Tommy with Jeff that he gave Sam. "You live here?"

"Surprise!" Sam's voice quivered, she wasn't sure what Tommy's reaction was yet.

She didn't have to wait long. Tommy pulled her into his arms & kissed her. "You moved here to be close to me?" Sam nodded. "I love you so much Sam." Tommy scooped her up both his arms & carried her upstairs.
