"Mrs. Metcalf?" A young blond nurse called into the waiting room.

Ginger stood up with the help of Steve & Susan, who were flanking her. "Yes?"

"Doctor will be out to see you in a few minutes. My name is Melinda, just let me know if there is anything I do for you."

Ginger nodded. Before she could sit back down the doctor appeared.

"Mrs. Metcalf, I am Dr. Stafford & I am pleased to tell you after we cleaned your husband up a bit, there is minimal damage. He had a small gash on top of his head it took 22 stitches."

Ginger gasped at the thought of Jeff needing stitches. "What about all that blood?" she asked.

The doctor noticed Ginger's discomfort. "Head wounds tend to bleed alot.  I assure you Mrs. Metcalf, it isn't as bad as it sounds. He will have some bruising on his back but nothing appears to be broken. We are going to keep him here for observation. You can take him home the day after tomorrow if all goes accordingly. The police are questioning Mr. Metcalf now, but you may go in after they are finished." Dr. Stafford shook Ginger's hand & left.

Jeff told the police that it was Derrick McKinley who attacked him with a golf club. No, he didn't know where he was staying but he told the police he had been seen with his niece, Rebecca Havel. The police thanked Jeff & exited the room.

Tommy stormed out of his Aunt Linda's house. After he arrived & started interrogating Becky about her connection to Derrick, she told Tommy it was none of his business. He told her what happened to Jeff & exactly what kind of person Derrick McKinley really was. Becky burst into tears & confided that Derrick was staying at the River Run Hotel.

Tommy told Becky that maybe it was time she quit acting like such a spoiled brat & grew up.

Tommy couldn't get to the River Run Hotel fast enough. He walked up to the front desk & asked Marcy if they still had a Derrick McKinley registered.

Marcy replied, "Tommy, I am not allowed to tell anyone that information."

"How about if I get you 2 tickets to the next game, really great seats?" He flashed her that Metcalf smile. Tommy knew that Marcy was a big fan of the Indians.

Marcy smiled back. "& Dinner?"

Tommy put on a fake pout, "I have a girlfriend." He noticed the disappointed look on her face. Think fast, Metcalf! "But I can take you down to the locker room after the game & introduce you to some of the single players."

Marcy's face perked right back up. "Deal" She flipped open the guest registry. "He is in room 417. I just saw him go upstairs a little bit ago. He a friend of yours?"

Tommy smiled at Marcy & kissed her cheek for giving him the info he knew could get her fired. "Something like that! I won't forget this, Marc" Tommy vanished into the elevator.
