LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Lauren Holly, Angus MacFadyen, Lacey Chabert and Meat Loaf are set to star in the indie crime thriller "The Pleasure Drivers."
The feature boasts separate yet interconnected stories involving such characters as a recovering crack addict and kidnapper (Holly); a psychology professor who has lost touch with reality (MacFadyen); a young sociopathic call girl (Chabert); a junkyard drunk (Meat Loaf); a vicious lesbian hit woman (Jill Bennett); a brain-damaged former cult guru (Angelo Spizzirri); and dueling gas station attendants (Rachel Dratch and Jason Mewes).
Andrzej Sekula -- who has worked as a cinematographer on such films as Quentin Tarantino's "Pulp Fiction" and "Reservoir Dogs" -- is directing the project in Los Angeles.
Holly recently starred in the CBS pilot "Bounty Hunter" with Robert Forster and Lifetime Television's "Caught in the Act," which she also executive produced. MacFadyen recently filmed a role in the indie thriller "The Virgin of Juarez."
Chabert, most recently in theaters with "Mean Girls," recently wrapped a role in the Christopher Reeve-directed "The Brooke Ellison Story." Dratch recently starred in "Her Minor Thing" opposite Estella Warren. Spizzirri next stars in Miramax Films' "The Underclassman."
