Shed a tear and light a candle
Make a flag and wave it high.
Sing a patriotic song
And hear it echo to the sky.

Pray for all who've lost their lives
And for the ones they've left behind.

Honor every memory
And the heroes in the rubble
Fighting on so valiantly.

Ask for strength to see you through.
Find the courage for this battle
Deep inside the heart of you.

Put your faith in God above.
That he will guide the men in power
Give them insight through his love.

Keep it burning each day through
To ease your pain and start the healing
This is what I ask you do.

Show these men we can't be beat.
Find some joy in every day.
