Element: Water
Represents: emotions, love, dreams, purification, intuition, shamanic journeys, inner knowledge, healing.
Deities: Poseidan, Neptune, Isis, Diana, Selene, Hecate, Aphrodite, Osiris.
Animals: Raven, sea animals, fish, dolphins.

Put a blue candle in a bowl or cauldron of water. Don't get the wick wet. Light the candle and say:
"I call upon the clouds above
I ask thee to rain on me with love.
Cleanse my face
And leave no trace.
I call upon the clouds
So mote it be!"
Say this until the water puts the candle out.

From Low to High Tide:
Spells of constructive nature, love, healing,
Money, psychic awareness, travel, courage, protection.

From High to Low Tide:
To destroy disease, bad habits, obsessions, purification, banishing. Ocean Ritual

Go to the beach and sit on the sand, meditate and listen to the sound of the waves. Let the sound lull you into a relaxed state. Rise and raise hands to the moon. Say:
"The waves are crashing, the waves are breaking,
The waves are lashing, the waves are taking.
The power of the sea to me;
The power of the sea to me!
The water's flowing, the water's soothing,
The water's growing, the water's moving,
The power of the sea to me!
The power of the sea to me!"

Dance in the surf (carefully of course) just getting your toes and feet wet. Cry out:
"Here between the land and sea,
Where awesome powers reign
I create my destiny
And all I would attain.
Ancient one of blue and green.
Of foam and surf and sand,
Grant the power that I have seen
Between the sea and land.
Take from me my energy
That I so gladly give,
Help me know your mystery
And let my magick live!"

Light some incense and inhale the smoke. Light a yellow candle and scatter some fresh flowers on the altar. Chant:
"I am the channel of divine insight in the universe.
My inner eyes see what my Goddess sees.
My inner ears hear what my God hears.
My inner heart loves what my Goddess loves."

Go on a journey to a lake, stream, or pond. Take with you a blue candle. When you get there, light the candle and stare at your reflection in the water.
"By astral light, by moon-beams bright,
I charge the water clear,
To turn the tide of this your child,
The face reflected here.
The moon will take away all strife,
Commence another phase--
A mirrored surface, smooth as glass,
Will thus describe your days.
With hope serene within your breast
Forget all hurt and pain
Emerge from oceans newly born
And laugh at life again."
