What A Weekend
So, I had my gamers over on Friday night, our party managed NOT to get killed so we get to play yet another session in Richard's Dungeons and Dragons game when we can schedule it again.. Next week I go to Game Fest here in Spokane so I'll be busy Friday night. I've had the worst head cold/sinus problems this weekend. Yesterday I had a headache that just wouldn't quit and by this morning I had lost my voice entirely. Now I'm able to speak in a low grumbly whisper.. I don't feel that bad but wish my voice would return. My buddy Ryan was in from College Place, WA for a friends birthday party and crashed at my place Friday and Saturday night. He's a good kid. He was showing off his CDs to my roommate Lyssa and playing PlayStation. I had a guy contact me who wanted to date me. I told him I already was "semi-dating" my friend Marc (who I actually want to date outright, pretty much more than anyone right now, so I'm definately wishing to remain open for him). Ken (the guy) talked to me for like 3 hours on the phone and stuff. He seemed like a nice guy and asked me out for coffee. I said I would meet him on the understanding that I could be nothing more than a friend and I drug Ryan with me cause I just didn't feel "safe" meeting this dude alone. My biggest issue with him is that Ken is 50 years old. No thanks.. No way in hades... Anyone who is almost as old as my own Dad is definately NOT on the docket of dateable for me. So I outright told him I simply was not interested. Nice guy.. but no thanks.. I still truly want to date Marc. I wish Marc had time for me. I shall remain patient in that matter. I got a letter on Saturday from the Pend Oreille County Civil Service Commission. (in regards to the Information Specialist job for their Sheriff's Office) It said I placed 1st on the Eligibility List!! So it looks like I have a really good chance of getting the job. I am really pleased with myself on this one I'm worried about Marc. He has had some issues with school that have gotten him really stressed out lately. I wish there were more I could do for him. Looks like all I can do is be here and just have an extra amount of patience. I have grown to care for Marc through his email, IMs and phone calls. Even though I have never met him, I still feel for him. I truly hope things get better for him soon. 2006-04-10 03:54:58 GMT
