Happy Halloween!
Well, everything is a GO for my party tonight. Will see how many folks show up. I really think it's awesome that Rob took tomorrow off just so he could come to my party. I hope I don't *scare* him too much though, because I am showing The Rocky Horror Picture Show as part of the party and tend to get incredibly rude, crude, and socially uncacceptable when adding in the lines from the Audience Participation Script. . . Did something stupid this morning, I forgot my Narcolepsy medication at home then lent my car to my friend Adam, so know I'm falling asleep and can't go get my meds. . . I like Rob quite a bit but he still needs time to get more comfortable with me. I suppose I do come off as rather intimidating, but I am making an effort to "be good". I am very interested in him. He makes me feel good about myself and I feel safe with him. As I learn more about Rob, I am finding he is a lot like me and is definately a person that I want in my life. (even if we just remain friends) He's hardworking and fun, and he wants kids like I do (sometimes it's hard to find a guy who really wants that). I do think he'd make a great Dad because he would make a lot of effort with his children and is genuinely interested in fatherdom. (The reason I made it onto the subject of kids and such is based on something one of my old youth pastors told me, he said, "when deciding whether to date a man, you should always ask yourself, is this person someone I would trust with my kids?" Because the whole point of dating, in his mind atleast, was to find the one person you want to have a family with. My old youth pastor's comments are not wholly untrue, and that's not the only thing I look at when dating, but whether or not the guy would make a good Dad is definately on my list of criteria when it comes to whether or not a relationship with that person could potentially make it to that stage in the game of life . .) Perhaps I am thinking about this way too hard. (it wouldn't be the first time I over-analysed the heck out of something) Honestly, I guess I should just back off and give Rob a lot more space, if that's possible for me. Rob has to decide for himself about me. There's just not much else I can do. 2005-10-31 18:58:12 GMT
